"Miya, my lady. Wake up. It's time for your meal." Zhao uttered, poking Mia's side ever so gently, enough to wake her up. The archer didn't budge; despite Yun Zhao's effort to get her to wake up, she was unfazed.
Yun Zhao couldn't help but smile and stare at her for a bit. It seemed that time slew, as if all the darkness that the realm held dissipated and turned into something that could fix the broken, heal wounds.
"It's a funny thing," he thought to himself, "how Miya entered my life ever so surprisingly, I almost didn't notice and yet now, she matters more than my rigorous, uncertain missions. Its as if, there's one thing in my life I'm finally certain of." As he heaved out a deep sigh.
As if on cue, a thought of someone from his past slithered back in his mind. It was someone he thought was right for him, someone he thought he was certain of.
During one of his missions in Nost Gal, he met a fellow fighter, a woman but with a strength no less than his.
He was awed by her beauty and valiance altogether. He thought of her as the rightful one for him, the one that would accompany him through his lonely escapades. The one that'll treat his wounds and keep him warm at night. But he was wrong.
She had a mission that was as colossal as his. She was the goddess of war, thriving in the heavens and only going down when fallen heroes call for help. She leads them to the Temple of Heroes-- a place where everlasting promises and dreams lay limitless, where pain and torment are only farfetched memories.
And she couldn't leave that behind. She couldn't leave such an honorable responsibility for a man, such a man like him-- Yun Zhao.
Freya left him wounded, unable to trust. She alleviates pain by taking the suffering souls away from it, but little did she know, she broke someone's heart whilst saving others.
And now, Miya, she scares him but his heart, he couldn't stop it from beating, screaming her name. Its as if she came into his life subtly, gently yet she mattered more than anything now.
She came suddenly yet she caused him uproars, wild palpitations; even by the just the sight of her.
Not even his pernicious history could stop him from falling for her.
But he was doubtful. What if he was lonely enough to jump at every girl he could see? What if he was just too desperate for love, that he was blinded by it, let alone let him fall for every girl he'll see?
His deep trip to his past was interrupted when he heard Miya's gentle yawns. As soon as he saw her open her eyes, Yun Zhao knew well enough now to place his heart on the line; this time with Miya.
"Hey. Good morning my lady. The table's ready for your meal. You must be hungry." Yun Zhao greeted, his hands fidgeting and sweaty. What was happening to him? He was like a nervous teenage boy on his first attempt on confessing to someone he liked.
He shrugged his feelings off and stood up to go to king Estes' room instead.
As soon as he entered the grand halls of the king's bedroom, his eyes went as wide as the halls of the room.
The king, Estes, was sitting straight up on his bed with a bewildered look on his face.

Guys,
I'm really sorry if I made you wait. I was so busy with school that I barely had time to update. We have more or less 4 exams every week and I couldn't risk failing. I have dreams to chase ya know.
I hope you all understand. But to comfort you guys, this story never left my mind and I always thought of it even if I wasn't planning on updating. I have great plans for this fanfic and I already have a scheme mapped out for all the heroes-- what will happen to who and who will who be with and all the good stuff-- I have already written it long before I started this story.
So, I hope you won't get mad if I take on a hiatus for a bit; it just means that I'm busy and I'm taking my time to make this story the kind that you guys will forever remember and appreciate.
In all ways, I will try my best to update. And please don't dictate on me guys. This is my fanfic, so I get to decide what I write. Those who have nothing good to say, those who ridicule and also to those who are plagiarizing my story, I am warning you.
I have found some stories that are copying some of my scenes and what's worse is that I have read one story that nevertheless copied my blurb word per word.
I know I am no one, my name isn't a famous one, my writing skills are not finesse but please, respect my works. And if you guys are planning on copying my plot or scenes, you can just ask me ya know. Instead of plagiarizing it, there's a thing called asking for permission. I won't deprive you guys if you just ask.
But well, sorry for the outburst and I hope you guys will continue to support me throughout the entirety of this story.
I love you all and to those hardcore readers of this fic, I salute y'all.
Always,
thessythes 🙂
