She massaged her substitute arm as she remembered the moment that led her to lose it. It was the kind of memory no one would ever dare to recall but even with the pain and horror that came along with the remembering, she nevertheless thought of it often.

She lost her arm and her guardian knight that fateful day. She lost two all at once, before she can even take in the moment. Her guardian knight died protecting her.

Aurora from then on, grew melancholic and sorrowful. As she watched the Land of Dawn grow and blossom with each passing day, along with it came regrets and could-have-beens.

But across that, despite the animosity of her past, she is still a powerful mage. Frost and snow was her dominion and no other element in the realm would dare go against her.

Yet even in her strength and prowess, she had a lot of cryptic dreams haunting her every night.

She had dreamt that she was taken away as a child from her home and that her whole life was a lie; that her identity, her roots was deprived from her from the day she was born into the realm.

She had dreamt of lightning bolts hitting her heart and that she had a sister, who is as powerful as she, a mage. She dreamt that the place she called home was not what it seemed to be and that underneath it all, lies a dormant secret waiting to be revealed to her.

She knew not one to believe. She was confused; with the past and the present often haunting Aurora's thoughts, her slumber, she has more reasons to give in to the sadness and sorrow that she has been long gone carrying, feeling.

"I have been singing in the hopes of living,
A life full of gleam and knowing the reasons why..." she tearfully sang.

She knew this song ever since and she had no idea where it came from, where she learned it, who taught her and why she sang it whenever she felt lonely.

Its as if her heart automatically knows what strings to tug to enable her to sing that tune. Its as if it was an extension of her.

"I have been singing in the hopes of living,
A life full of gleam and knowing the reasons why;

I have been wondering why hope has fallen,
Even in my singing;

But my heart knows joy even when not found
And knows hope in the absence of it all..."

On the other side of the realm, her sister halted and sang the song too. Whenever one sang the song, even when a million miles apart, the other would sweetly continue. Thw song connected both souls, held their identities and it would only take one fateful meeting to unleash the truth.

Aurora took a deep sigh and ended the tune: "In my heart I know the reasons, the reasons why I am asking why." And she broke down in tears again.

On the other hand, the other sister felt her heart jitter and palpitate. Deep in her, she knew that Aurora was only lost, lost from her sight, lost from her grip but never gone.

And Eudora wouldn't stop until she'd find her sister.

Hello guys! To all the readers, thank you so much for the never ending support. I was especially pissed today though. This was not the original manuscript, the original version was deleted accidentally and I almost lost my cool lol. But anyways, I took a deep breath and typed again; all for those of you who are in the hopes of seeing that tiny notification, that I updated, pop up in your screens.

I am also sorry if this chapter is short, bc again the original was actually lengthy yet I kind of lost the motivation to redo it and also, I have exams coming up bc hell, I'm already a 3rd year college student y'all.

In anyway, thank you for the votes, comments and support ☺

Lovelots,
