THE WEDDING OF THE CENTURY an exclusive interview with the happy couple
We interviewed High King Peter and Princess Juno on the build up to their highly anticipated wedding only a few weeks away! Here's what they had to say. . .
Q: We've all be looking forward to this wedding back in the studio and we can't help but wander what and when exactly everything is happening? Have you finalised all the details?
J: The wedding will be taking place in the Gardens of Cair Paravel, hopefully in the snow! I've always wanted a white wedding and now, with all the rush and sudden planning, seems to be the best time to have it.
P: Of course, my sister Susan absolutely refused to give up her annual Winter's Ball for a wedding, so we're treating it as a pre-wedding celebration — on a far grander scale, seeing as both the entirety of Narnia and Archenland will be there too.
Q: Speaking of attendance, whose roles will we see being played out during the wedding?
P: I'd decided very early on that Edmund would be my best man, seeing as he is my brother and Lune's busy giving away his sister. (he laughs)
J: Susan will be the maid of honour, with Lucy and my little sister Flos being bridesmaids. Oh, and Lady Athena too. Even though she's recovering, she said before that she'll be ready for the wedding and she's already done so much for the both of us and is so close to the Pevensies — I thought that she would be a lovely addition.
Q: I must say, after the news of the awfulness that had happened between Queen Susan and Lady Athena against Ettinsmoor recently, we can help wonder what marriage this will mean for the long-term aftermath for, not only narnia, but the world?
P: I hope that our union will be able to reinstate that message of peace and love that Narnia needs right now. We were all shaken when we heard the news and, quite frankly, I do believe we were at war with the Ettins — perhaps we still are. This world knows that it is vulnerable and all I can say is that an alliance of love and trust will maybe be the first thing to unite our nations. I feel honoured that I can be a part of that new world too.
