❛ RIGHT HAND MAN ❜HERE COMES THE GENERAL
our q&a with the rising starWe interviewed Lady Athena during the knighting conference this morning, the day after Queen Susan threw her annual Knighthood Ball, to discuss her rise in the nobility, fashion and kings.
Q: First, we all must know, what is it like working so closely to the monarchy?
A: It's great! (she laughs) All the court members are wonderful people, and it is lovely to talk with greater minds. And, as for the kings and queens. . . (she pauses to think) Lucy is the kindest person I have ever met and Susan has the smartest mind of all. Edmund is incredibly wise and genuinely lovely to be around. Peter is always his usual self, as you would expect him to be, strong, selfless and all-round great company.
Q: You've previously mentioned that your home life is very different from the one we see through the media and public appearances. How do you mean this?
A: I think it would be strange for me to be as confident at home as I am on the battlefield. I remember one of my first fights, pushing back of few White Witch supporters back to the northwest, and immediately curling up in front of the log fire to read a book as soon as I got home. I wouldn't necessarily consider my public appearances that different, although. I do quite enjoy being around friends and workmates, but my home life is probably a little more private than most people think.
Q: What inspired your unique battle gear?
A: I'd seen a couple designs before on horse armour and such, and it stitched itself together quite quickly after that. It hasn't always been the same and I've obviously had a few upgrades after years of fighting.
Q: Do you think you will find anyone you could share the rest of those experiences with in the future?
A: Who knows! I'm not the hopeless romantic type, so any relationship would have to be a slow one and I haven't found anyone yet that is ready for something serious like that. Sorry for anyone expecting some whirlwind courtship to be on the cards! Maybe ask again in five years time?
Q: Last, but by no means least, when should we expect the next big event, and will you be attending?
A: You'd have to ask Queen Susan about that one! I know there's the Winter's Ball coming up and I'm certain King Edmund has got some sort of tournament prepared for the summer. As long as it is not a chess one, I'll be there!
