EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE OF THE MARRIAGE BETWEEN HIGH KING PETER & LADY ATHENA how the couple have spent their special day ( by head writer augustus the centaur )
On the 1008th anniversary of Queen Helen's day, High King Peter of Narnia and Marchioness Athena of the Great Delta married midday today. Sporting a sovereign red gown, Lady Athena arrived an hour before noon in the Cair Paravel throne room for the wedding. Our new Queen was guided down the aisle by her adoptive brother, Lord Peridan, and followed graciously by the honorary maiden of Narnia, Princess Juno of Archenland — who once would have been in her place as the bride to the High King only two years ago. It was with the hints of gold and red strung across the hall that every spectator knew the grandeur of the situation.
It was a miracle that our reporter could even record the events taking place today over the cheers of the crowd (and no doubt their own internal screaming). Apparently, the ceremony lasted a mere fifteen minutes before the switch to the coronation. We did, however, manage to exclusively record the entire ceremony with running commentary from our senior reporters:
[ THE ORDERLY RISE, & THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE BRIDE STEPS FORWARD, LORD PERIDAN ]
"I step aside so you may wed this woman, she who has consigned to me with the task of founding the stone on which you shall build your new lives together, hoping that this union will flourish, from now until the end of the time."

"I, Peter William Pevensie, High King of Narnia, Emperor of the Lone Islands, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion, take thee, Athena Florence Elizabeth Ashdown, Marchioness of the Great Delta, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion, as my wife under the sovereignty of the Great Lion, Aslan, and the Magnificent, Gentle, Just and Valiant crowns of Narnia. Beneath the everlasting sun that shall guide us forward throughout our lives and shine upon the blessing of our love that I promise my heart and soul to you. It is with the ferocity that my heart beats for you that I kneel before your radiance, asking to become your husband and protector, just as you shall become mine and my wife. "I,Athena Florence Elizabeth Ashdown, Marchioness of the Great Delta, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion, take thee, Peter William Pevensie, High King of Narnia, Emperor of the Lone Islands, Lord of Cair Paravel, and Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion, as my husband under the sovereignty of the Great Lion, Aslan, and the Magnificent, Gentle, Just and Valiant crowns of Narnia. Standing above the foundations of existence that shall counsel us onward throughout our lives and support the roots of our love that I promise my heart and soul to you. It is with the severity of how my soul lives for you that I kneel before your magnificence, asking to become your wife and your guardian, just as you shall become mine and my husband. "I stand, then, at your side, as your wife, carrying alike your trials, tribulations, and delights, giving you this ring with the aid of Princess Juno of Archenland with the hopes that it will show the universe that our love endures each obstacle thrown, for I am yours as you are mine, under the name of Aslan, who permits this alliance of love."
[ THEY RAISE THEIR HANDS AS ROYAL TRADITION DEMANDS, PALM TO PALM, FOREARM TO FOREARM. THEY LAST SAY IN UNISON: ]
"We stand together, as husband and wife, equal to the world, sharing of one heart and one soul, from now united, to the end of the world, by Aslan's approval, for in his name we wed, and to his name we shall not lie. "
