BREAKING NEWS war breaks out on the southern border with archenland
Reports this morning have detailed the defensive manover taken in action to protect Narnia from an incoming invasion. Along the east side of Glasswater Creek, intelligence have told us that Lady Athena and Lord Peridan have taken a sizeable force to counterattack the wave of Archenland forces. In the front, King Edmund and Queen Lucy are taking the main offense from the opposition, with High King Peter standing with the second wave of reinforcements a few miles behind.
We had a quick word with Queen Susan, who is with the royal guard at Cair Paravel in case of emergency back up:
"Lady Athena and High King Peter devised this strategy themselves. I have not yet had word from the main forces near Glasswater, but I am confident that my brothers and sister can bring our soldiers home. Please do not worry. We are doing the best we can to defend Narnia."
We can all agree that the confident words from the Queen are very promising, but, as the fight continues, we can only hope that her optimism is rightly placed.
The one thing that has us at the Cair Paravel Times office wondering, is why Archenland is invading? Our only guess is that the Narnian withdrawal from the Treaty of Beruna has caused King Lune to retaliate. We haven't heard word from the Archen King since the Winter's Ball, but could this have been the one thing he's been planing all along? Since his strange absence from both social media and public appearances, what can we really judge the Archen King on now that he refuses to make a statement? What are his real motives?
On the other hand, we have been gifted many-a-times with the presence of Princess Juno, especially the sight of her friendship between herself and the Pevensie family (including Athena - we all know why). There may be a a chance that she is working behind the scenes in order to help the Narnian army to fight back against her brother's invasion. We can't know for sure, but since Juno is really a gift from God we hope that she's on the right side of this brutal battle.
With Lady Athena and High King Peter leading the defence, us citizens of Narnia know we are in the safest and most skilled pairs of hands.
