Odd Comforts
Cassandra
“Your home early.” I said with a smile. He simply stared at me, mouth agape.
“Uh, what are you doing?” he asked, looking strangely at me.
“Cooking dinner.” I said slowly, as if speaking to a child.
“I can see that.” He said, rolling his eyes. I raised my eyebrow at him in question
as I stirred the broth. “I meant to ask, why are you doing this? And where’s
Concha?” he explained further as he loosened his tie. Out of habit, I took a glass and
filled with cold water and passed the glass to him. He took it with a grateful smile.
“Why, I’m known to be an excellent cook!” I said in a mock-offended voice,
wanting to tease him. He smiled in understanding.
“Are you?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at me, repeating my earlier action. But
the playing smile gave him away. I gasped and hit him with the kitchen towel.
“Go and change. I’m hungry.” I whined, as I took the pasta out of the oven and
carefully kept it on the table.
“So am I.” he said in my ear, his voice husky. I shivered. He lightly placed his
hands on my waist and turned me around to face him. The look of pure lust on his
face made my knees buckle. If it weren’t for his hand holding me upright, I surely
would’ve fallen. Slowly, as if my hand had a mind of their own, reached up to his
shoulders and made their way towards his hair. He let out a growl as I tangled my
hands in his hairs, tugging his mouth down. He complied without hesitation,
claiming my mouth in a possessive kiss that took my breath away.
I fisted his hair even tighter, bringing his mouth as closer as possible while his
hand on my waist practically moulded my body to his.But when his hands sneaked
under my shirt, my senses finally made their appearance. I tore my mouth from his,
but he simply continued his exploration by kissing my neck.I moaned despite myself.
He smiled and snaked his hand even higher. I arched against him. He growled in
approval and claimed my mouth once again in a savaging kiss.
“You set me ablaze, my love.” He rasped. Then suddenly, he lifted my up, bridal
style, and made his way towards the bedroom. This is going way too far.
“Salvatore, stop.” I said as I started struggling against his grip. He sighed in
irritation but complied non-the-less. I turned away but he blocked my way and
pushed me against and nuzzled in my neck.
“You will be mine.” He whispered, his words sounding more of a promise than
threat, and abruptly left. I shivered at the sudden feeling of loss. A realization struck
me, providing me with an odd sense of comfort.
I’m falling for him.
Another chapter! Short update, I know! But I just couldn’t resist! J I’m
pretty sure the near-steamy scene made up for my absence! ;)
But if not, then I’m pretty sure a speedy update will!

by tomorrow!
