Confrontations

Jackson's POV

I walk into music class and they are the first thing I see. Mac and Niall. They're holding hands. I never got to do that with her. I don't like him. I reach up and touch my nose and the bandage there. That bastard broke it.

I walk over and give the teacher my schedule. She walk over to the front of the class to introduce me as the new student. I look at Mac to see her expression. Shock, fear and sadness cover her whole face. Just the reaction I wanted. I look at Niall. He's pissed. No surprise there.

I look back at Mac as I take the seat in front of her and smile. She smiles back.

The teacher begins to talk. "I have decided to do a project. Each and everyone of you must preform a song. You may either preform the music or the lyrics or both. It can be a cover of a song or one that you've written yourself. 50% of your grade will be on sound and accuracy. The other 50% will be based on originality and creativity. These are individual projects. No partner work." She claps her hands together. "Let's get started."

I already know what I'm going to do. I have a plan to get Mac back. I'd rather her be alone than with him. She was mine first and I'm going to get her back and this project is going to help me.

Mac's POV

Jackson's in this class. That's just fucking great. My ex and my boyfriend in the same class. Awesome.

Niall leans over and whispers in my ear,"You should kiss me to make him jealous." I laugh loud enough for Jack to turn around and slowly meet my lips to Niall's.

You hear something break. It's Jack's pencil. He broke it. His jaw is clenched and his body his rigid. He's staring at us.

"Excuse me." Says Niall. "Can't I kiss my girlfriend in peace."

Jack's fists clench but he smiles and says,"Damon told me she's not that good of a kisser but I think it's because she didn't want him." Niall tenses up. "I know she's a good kisser. She wants me and when I kissed her..oh I enjoyed it very much." His smile grows. "I just love the way those soft, full lips feel."

Niall lunges at him. He keeps trying to swing and kick at Jack but I'm hold him back. I pull Niall into the chair next to me. "Do not let him get to you. Understand. He's not worth it." I look over at Jackson and he's got the biggest grin on his face. I can fix that.

I walk over to him and he stands up. I pull him by his shirt so our bodies are mere inches apart.

I look at him and say,"I don't know who the hell you think you are but you are not going to ruin this for me. You don't get another chance. We're done. Get the fuck over it!" I push him away and walk back to Niall. The grin that was on his face is gone.

I sit in his lap and smile at him sweetly. I can feel him slowly start to relax. I kiss him on the neck and lay my head on his shoulder. He runs his hand across my back and kisses me on the forehead. We sit like that til the bell rings.

Niall's POV

I drive up to her apartment to drop her off.

"Can you stay the night again?" she asks.

I laugh. "I can't stay the night every night."

"Yes you can." She whines.

"Or." I grab both her hands. "You could move in with me."

Her eyes get wide and she pulls away. She grabs her bags and walk out of the car. I shut off the engine and run after her. She's already halfway up the stairs. I take them two at a time.

"Mckenzie!"

She takes a deep breath, then turn and looks at me. "What?"

"I'm sorry."

"Not your not." She looks at the ground. "If you were, you wouldn't have said it." She continues up the stairs. Now she's at the door.

"Mckenzie. Wait! Can't we al least talk about it." She turns the key in the lock and opens the door. I follow her in. "Mckenzie. Please."

She stops dead in her tracks once she walks in. A man is sitting on the couch in the living room. He's wearing dark blue plaid button-up shirt, jeans and cowboy boots. He looks up at us and stands. He's big. He has brown eyes and black hair that's cut close to his head.

"Who's this Mckenzie?" He asks.

"Well, hi dad. It's nice to see you too." She walks to her room to put her school things away.

Her dad. Shit.

She comes out of her room and heads to the kitchen. "Niall. What do you wan for dinner?"

What? She was just walking away from me earlier and now she wants me to stay for dinner. I look at her dad. That's why.

"Whatever you want babe." She tries to hide it but I see her smile a little at my words.

"This is your boyfriend?" Her dad asks.

"Yep. Niall this is my dad, Marcus."

I walk over and hold my hand out to shake hands with him. He doesn't do the same. He just walks away.

"Are coming to eat dinner with us?" he asks.

"No. Niall and I have plans. Sorry."

He gives of disgust.

"We could eat with them instead, if you want to." I tell Mckenzie. She looks up at me. She looks confused for a minute, then she gets it. She smiles.

"Only if it's ok with your dad. I don't want to impose on his night."

He looks pissed. "Fine. Let's go."

She walks over to me and grabs my hand. "We'll be driving separately."

He storms out. She laughs and kisses me. "Thank you." She says.

I kiss her again. "No problem. But..." she looks up at me. "You owe me."

"Ok. Anything."

"You spend the night with me tonight."

She smiles. "Deal."
