Niall's POV

It's been 7 hours since Mckenzie left. We all have been driving all around town trying to find her but she just ran off. We checked the apartment first. Then Jackson's, then Nat's, then the hospital but she is no where to be found. Her car is gone too. I tried calling the police but Beth said not to. She said that we would keep looking and if we didn't find her before noon the next morning we would call.

It's 11:48. Still no sign of her.

I call anyways.

I pull up to the house and walk to the door. Everyone is gathered around Nat.

"What's going on?" I ask.

Harry turns to me. "Nat showed up after we called and told her that Mac was missing. She's on the phone with her now."

My eyes widen and I snatch the phone from Nat's hands. Just as I put it up to my ear the call ends.

"Where is she?" I demand.

Nat puts her hand on her hips and glares at me. "She told me not to tell."

I sigh. "Fine then I'm going with you."

She scoffs. "Going with me where? To see her?" she laughs. "I don't think so. You can see her when she gets out." She covers her mouth with her hands.

"Gets back from where?" I take a step closer to her. "Nat if you don't fucking tell me where she is at I swear I-"

"Don't get your fucking panties in a wad." She yells. "Come with me."

We both get in the car. Minutes later we pulled up to the hospital.

"We already checked here and she wasn't with her mom." I said.

Nat rolls her eyes and says,"I know that. You looked to see if she was with her mom but you didn't check to see if she was a patient."

My eyes widen and I gawk at her. Mckenzie is in the hospital. For what? What happened? So many questions are running through my head but my mouth doesn't seem to work. I keep trying to talk but no words come. I overcome with worry and fear. Worry because she could be hurt. Fear because I may have caused it to happen.

She's sitting on the hospital bed talking to the doctor, when we walk in. She has a bandage above her right eye and a few bruises on her arms.

"No physical activities until there's no pain in you ribs." The doctor says. He rips off a note and hands it to her. "Have a great day." He smiles and leaves the room.

Mckenzie hops off the bed and walks toward us. Clutching at her ribs as she walks. Her face has pain and disappointment written all over it.

"Why is he here?" she asks. She's looking at me but I know the question is directed at Nat.

"He wanted to come." She simply states.

Mckenzie sighs and rubs her temples with her fingers. "So why the fuck did you let him?"

Nat puts a hand on her hip. "He wanted to come Mac. I couldn't have stopped him anyway. This boy loves you. Why can't you see that?" she over to Mckenzie. "Give him another chance. You gave Jackson one."

"And Jackson broke my heart. What makes Niall different?" she points over at me and glares at Nat.

"Niall isn't Jackson." Nat walks out the door. "I'll sign you out." She calls over her shoulder.

I'm left alone with Mckenzie in the hospital room. She bites her lip and sits in the chair next to the bed. She puts her in her hands and sighs.

"In case you're wondering what happened, I got in a car accident." She looks up at me. "I was driving and ran a red light. A car rammed into the tail end of my car an I spun around. The next thing I remember after that is waking up here, lucky to be alive."

"How'd you run a red light?" I take a step closer to her.

"I was crying and the tears blurred my vision so I didn't see the red light. It could've been worse so beat yourself up over it." She smiles the most fake smile I've ever seen. "At least I'm alive."

I kneel down in front of her and take her hands in mine. She pulls away and sits back in the chair. "It almost sounds like you don't want to be."

She looks at me and the past me at the door. "I don't."

AN: SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED IN A WHILE. IVE BEEN PARTY PLANNING! MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW!!!! AND MY PARTY IS THIS WEEKEND.
