Dwayne was coming by to pick me up so we could walk down the street for food.
A knock on my door shook me out of my thoughts. I fixed my shirt and gathered up my courage and opened it.
Dwayne was standing there, looking nervous.
"Hang on, let me grab my jacket." I grabbed my jacket and yelled at my mom that I was leaving.
I put on my jacket to conceal myself of the harsh cold air, Minnesota this time of year got chilly, although it was almost summer, it still stayed cold at night.
We walked down the street talking about whatever, school, family, hockey, all that stuff.
We stopped and got some burgers and milkshakes.
"Where do you want to go next?" Dwayne asked me.
"The lake is always pretty at night, especially since it's frozen over, we could go there and talk some more." I replied.
We walked to late, it was a full moon, so it reflected off the surface of the water, illuminating the water making it appear to be glowing, it was beautiful.
"It sure is beautiful." I said.
"Not as beautiful as you." Dwayne replied.
"How much did Coach pay you to say that?" I asked.
"20 bucks, but it's true." Dwayne joked.
"You're not to bad yourself cowboy." I winked. His face flushed red, making me laugh.
I checked the time, it was almost my curfew.
Dwayne walked me home.
We were now on my doorstep.
"Thank you for a great night Dwayne." I thanked him
"No problem, I'm glad you had great time." He said.
"I'll see you at practice, cowboy." I kissed his cheek and headed inside the house to escape the chilly air.
What a great night.

I updated!!! This was halfway done when I posted the A/N so I decided to finish it to be the least bit productive.
