K, imma just talk about this. This scene honestly scares the shit outta me, but it shows how great of an actor Nic is. I feel like they should've added this in the film cause it would explain why Henry was coated in blood (cause he only got some on him after killing his father), also why he showed up in one of the final scenes and attacked Mike, and it would make sense as to why Belch and Victor are no longer included in the films final scenes.
I recently watched a couple of film theories, that also talked about deleted scenes, and things that were cut form the final film. Andy, the films director, explained the film was on a budget, so many scenes had to be cut out of the script due to the expenses that had to be payed. The original script was too 'dark' because of how in depth everything was supposed to be, so it had to be modified. The scenes that were cut out seem horrifying, one being Stans first encounter with it, another; Henry being abused by his father, and even a scene with Beverly and her father. These scenes were cut from the film since they were too disturbing, and a little too controversial, although the book itself had some of its own. But, I actually enjoyed the films adaptation to the book, and the 1990's miniseries cause it was jut the right amount of horror, humor, and even sadness. The movie actually made me cry 😂. I'm glad they cut some of the scenes from the original script, since they seemed traumatizing for not only the characters, but for the audience.
But I can't wait until I can actually purchase the film to see all of the scenes that were actually filmed (not the ones with Stanley, and Bev. Those sounded horrible, and gruesome, and they were never filmed after the writers fixed the original script.) I definitely like the films adaptation of the time, giving it a modern spin that may be a little bit more realistic cause it's closer to our time, and I like how the characters were changed to fit the actors personalities. There is some things I wish they kept form the book, like how funny Stanley truly was, Eddie and Bill's friendship, Beverly and Richie's friendship.
But, I can't wait until Chapter 2 comes out, and we can maybe see some of the cut scenes be thrown into the mix.
