Not a writing chapter but I had plans to write this out sooner, so here we go.
I'm devastated by the death of George Floyd and all of the other victims of police brutality and unlawful killings. I'm hurting, I didn't know him personally but my heart is hurting. My heart goes out to the black community, and I encourage my followers to reach out in case they are hurting as well. I also encourage my followers to sign petitions, donate, and being awareness.
Yesterday I attended a Black Lives Matter protest and I was moved to tears several times.
I am a white passing Mexican/Italian young lady, so I know I will never be targeted by my skin. My family is mainly POC, so to see fellow POC murdered for no reason, my heart hurts.
I will try and write soon, but I'm hurting right now. I have quite a few requests on Tumblr, taht I plan on writing too.
All in all, support black creators and the black community and spread some love and kindness today.
