Mattie's POV~~
After Soda rescued me, we began to hang out more. We had a lot in common. Two- Bit never holding me he had such a freaking hot friend!! Walking Talking Jesus! (A/N: Stand By Me Anyone? Hahahahaha.) One night I decided to stay over at the Curtis's and I fell asleep on the couch only to be awoken by a fierce thunderstorm, lightning shooting through the air, making me jump. Pony stayed at friends so I decided I could go lay with Soda, I mean, he wouldn't mind. So I made my way to his room. I carefully plopped down on his bed and pulled the blanket on me. I rolled over on my side, my back to Soda. He rolled over and wrapped his arm around me. Then thunder sounded, making me jump. "Don't worry Mattie, I won't let anything hurt you, I promise." He whispered, and he sure as hell did keep his promise.
