Ahtziri's POV~~
I close the car door and the warm air hit my face.
I looked at the house it front of me, looking down on me.
The screen door opened and my parents walked out. Well more like step-parents. Scotty trailed behind them. He was my stepbrother.
Everyone engulfed me in a hug. I was going to stay with them during the summer.
Scotty was a bit younger than me, there was 3 years in between us, but we didn't mind the age gap.
Time Skip~~
It had been a couple weeks since I got here and Scotty already seemed so distant.
He kept going to play baseball with this cute boy down the street.
I got super bored around the house, there was nothing to do.
Scotty got home from playing baseball. A smiled was planted on his face.
"Hey Scotty, how was it?" I asked.
"Great. Hey, I was wondering, tomorrow do you maybe wanna meet my fiends at the Sandlot?" He asked.
"Sure! Sounds great!" I said.
The next day~~
Scotty and I walked down the street. He checked to make sure no one watching when he slipped behind a fence, I followed him.
We came to an old baseball diamond. A group of boys were just tossing the ball back and forth.
A short boy with red hair and freckles saw me first, his eyes widened. Everyone turned to see why this kid was so weirded out, their eyes wandered to me.
"Hey guys! This is my step sister Ahtziri." Scotty told them.
"She's so pretty.." one of the boys mumbled.
The boy who I had always seen Scotty meet up with took a step forward.
He had her black hair under a hat, hazel eyes, and tan skin, he was cute.
"Nice to meet you." He held out his hand for me to shake, which I did.

The boys were always flirtatious towards me and Benny always got irritated. Until he got enough courage to ask me out, and of course I said yes..
