Harris's P.O.V

I watch Anaya as she walks to the middle of the stage with Ali. I swear Ali has a crush on her I have a sixth sense for these things but I can't blame him.

She starts singing the beginning of 'Mawlaya Sal' and it's not normal. She has an angelic voice and the fact that she's singing in Arabic makes it even better.

I'm not gonna lie, as Ali joins in it sounds like a masterpiece. If we have a producer here right now, he'd be recording this. Once they finished, everyone clapped and so did I. She looked over at me and smiled and I smiled back

Anaya's P.O.V

"That was so good!" Ali said
"Really? I haven't sang in ages" I tell him and he nods
"Well, I guess I could say the same about you, I never knew you had a voice like that" I said and he just blushed
Wow. He blushed. And I made it happen.

"Are you blushing?" I tease and he just smiles
"I gotta go but I'll see you around" he says smiling and he walks off

Okay he's really cute. Way more cuter than I'd ever imagined. You know, it's crazy how people can bond in two hours. I haven't even spoken to Ali before today, but I guess the fact that we're the only ones from Bradford makes it easier. We don't know anyone else.

Everyone else sang in their pairs and then we were given time to chill out before they told us who was through to the next part.

I was backstage on my phone and I got a text from Rukayah.

Ruky🌸:- How's the competition?

Me:- well we've just done the first round and now I'm waiting to see if I'm through to tomorrow

Ruky🌸:- you'll be through to tomorrow, you have an amazing voice

Me:- thanks x

Ruky🌸:- No worries

Me:- Omg guess who's here?

Ruky🌸:- who?

Me:- Ali!

Ruky🌸:- shit! As in your Ali?

Me:- yea and we had to work together

Ruky🌸:- Awwww you two are so cute I ship #Alnaya

"Anaya, they're calling you on stage" my mum told me
"Ok" I reply

Me:- Ruky I gotta go find out if I'm out or not

Ruky🌸:- good luck!

"So, we've agreed on the pair that are going to be sent home" Slim says
"That pair is..." Naz starts

Okay I really don't want it to be me. I wanna stay and I don't think I'm ready to leave Harris and never see him again just yet. Wait what?

"Aisha and Anam" Naz says and I breathe a sigh of relief, "sorry guys"
They walk off stage and Adam congratulates us all

"So, I'll see you around then?" Ali asks and I nod and he walks away
I see Harris walking towards me and he smirks

"What's with the smirk?" I ask
"I saw you innit" he says and I laugh at his lame attempt to make me blush
"Was that an attempt to make me blush cos it didn't work" I tell him and he raises an eyebrow
"It seemed to work before darling" he says referring to when I first came on to stage

"Shut up" I say looking down at my shoes
"I'm joking" he laughs, "so? You wanna hang around with me and they boys?"
"I'm not sure that's completely halal" I say and he smiles
"Just as friends, I'm sure I can control myself" he says jokingly
"Well lemme ask my mum and I'll let you know" I tell him and walk away to find my mum

I see her stood talking to Ali's mum.
"Asalamualaikum Anaya" Auntie Sadaf says
"Asalamualaikum Auntie" I reply
"You have a really good voice Mashallah" she says and I thanked her

"Ami I'm going out with some friends" I tell her and she nods
"Don't be back too late" She says as she gives me money
I kiss her goodbye and walk away.

"Is she coming?" Adam asks
"She's coming" I reply and they all cheer
"Great! Let's go, I'm starving" Slim says

Everyone agrees except me. I'm not hungry, I had a latte three hours ago.

We got into the car and Slim just about started his car and Adam was already begging me to sing for them. Before I know it Naz, Slim and Harris joined in.

"Okay okay fine but Harris has to sing with me" I reason and they all nod
"Do Harris's song Love Who You Are" Adam asks and Harris agrees

I sigh. I don't wanna do this.
