Anaya's P.O.V

"Dad!" Ali shouts and his dad just laughs
I swear he's so cute but he's talking about me marrying Ali and that ain't gonna happen

"Actually no uncle, me and Ali are just friends" I reply
"Ha okay" he laughs as if he has something planned

This visit was supposed to be about me coming to see how he's doing. Not for him to question my relationship status and if I'm thinking about changing it any time soon.

We talked for a few minutes and I looked at the time and it was quarter to five.
"I have to go but I'll see you tomorrow at work" I say getting up
"Thanks for the flowers and the card" Ali says
"No worries" I smile
"Bye uncle" I say
"Bye beti" he says as I walk out the door

I walk into the car park and see Fayzaan looking bored out of his tree. I sit in the car and get comfortable.
"You took your time" he says
"I know, I went in and his dad started talking about marriage and then he was like are you thinking about getting married to Ali and I was like what the hell no but I never said that I just said no politely because his dad is proper cute and he's so nice" I rant

Fayzaan just laughs as he drives. Once we get home, I go straight to my room and get changed into my nighties. I keep my makeup on and flop on to my bed. I grab my laptop and I'm about to turn on Netflix when it starts ringing for a FaceTime call.

I answer it because it's from my friends.
"Hiiiiiii" I greet
"Hiiiii" they reply
"What's going on?" I ask
"Everything is so boring without you maaaan" Ayesha cries
"Is it really?" I ask happily
"Don't look so happy about it you cow" Rukayah says and I laugh

"What have you been doing then?" Halima asks
"Well I went shopping with Harris in the morning and I've just been to see Ali's dad at hospital and now I'm at home chilling" I say
"Girl your life is so chill" Alina pouts and I snort
"You don't even know half of it" I say, "I don't even have time to myself"

"What you on about? You only go to college, it's not that different from school" Rukayah points out
"Yeah well I do work experience at the hospital too you know?" I reply
"Oh shit that's why" Ayesha says I nod my head
"I only have time on the weekends" I tell them and they give me sad smiles
"Well how's life over there without me?" I ask

"So boring, you know we were thinking off holding auditions so that we can get someone else like you but your too unique" Halima whines and I stick my tongue out

"Ha ha" I laugh
"It's not funny, we're suffering and you're chilling with your new boyfriend and his friends" Rukayah says and I laugh
"By the way, have you met his family yet?" Alina asks and I freeze
"What do you mean meet his family yet? I'm not getting married mate" I say smiling uncomfortably

"YOU HAVEN'T MET HIS FAMILY?!" Ayesha shouts
"No and it's not a big deal, he's was just saying today how I should meet them" I reply
"But he's met yours AND you live next door to each other, you have to have seen them once" Alina says
"I know that's what I was thinking but I haven't seen them" I say

We talk for another hour and then I decide to hang up because I'm hungry.
"Bye bitches" I say blowing kisses
"Bye" they reply also blowing kisses

I smile and end the FaceTime. I put my laptop at the side and get up off my bed. I tied my hair into a messy bun and go downstairs. I hope no ones here because I have shorts on.

"You're finally here" my mum says and I nod my head
"Here come eat" my dad says
I sit in my chair and my mum puts some food in my plate.

"So, how much money did you waste today?" My dad smiles
"Only £70" I say and my mum's eyes widen
"It's better than normal" Uzair shrugs and I smile

"Where have you been all day I haven't seen you" my dad asks
"I went shopping and when I came back I asked Fayzaan to take me to the hospital to see Ali's dad" I explain
"Is he doing better?" My mum asks

"Yeah erm... Ali was saying that his dad is doing better and it's all because of my blood donation" I explain
"Wow" Hannan says sounding genuinely impressed
"Are you impressed?" I tease him and he rolls his eyes

"Is he out of hospital?" Dad asks
"No he's still there but he's doing better" I say nodding my head
"Well tell Ali I'll be going to visit" my dad says and I nod my head
"So what did you talk about?" Fayzaan asks and I swear he's doing this on purpose
"Uh nothing" I say blushing so fucking hard
"Then why are you blushing?" Hannan teases

"Shut up" I say quickly
"Anaya what did you talk about?" My mum asks
I sigh, I'm gonna have to tell but it's so awkward.

"His dad was asking me about marriage and he said marry Ali" I mumble
"What?" My mum asks
"He was talking about marriage and he said marry Ali" I say louder and I look at my brothers and they burst out laughing

"Oh my god shut up" I say and they carry on laughing
"Well we were thinking the same thing actually" my dad says and I look at him in horror

My brothers start laughing even harder and I wanna scream

Is he joking?!
