Chapter 57

"She's lying!" Alex tells yet another lie.

"Where is he?" My eyes look dead at the door as I sprint for it.

I open the door and head straight for the staircase but Alex's arms find their way around me pulling me down to the floor. I scream and yell , kick and hit him. But he won't let go.

I've been dying to see Austin, touch, kiss, hug him. They all know this even Grey and they're holding me back.

"Why are you doing this..." I begin to cry. ", I want to see him" I finally give up ", Alex." I whine again.

"No," he finally relaxes himself. ",Just...." He sighs " Promise me when you see him don't give in okay?"

"Alex what do you mean?" I sniffle trying hard to keep all my snot in. Gross.

"He came back for you, but I don't want you to immediately run back to him okay? Take it slow because I know for a fact you two will get into a fight for being stupid."

I sigh in defeat at his words. He's right, like always.

"Why was he here?"

"He came to talk to Grey"

"About what?!"

"I can't tell you..."

"Alex...." I warn.

"It's better that you don't know Emma." Grey speaks

"If you guys are my friends you would tell me no matter what."

"Friends don't hurt each other Emma" Katie yells at me.

"Let go of me" I protest I get off of the floor and head out of his house.

The sun was beginning to set, and the chilly air made my cheeks puff but I didn't mind. This gives me time to think. I pulled my phone out my pocket and answered a call from Katie.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm walking home."

"Listen to me, don't talk to him I'm serious-"

"Why can't I? I don't understand!" I yelled.

She hung up. She would never do that. Ever. I don't get what's going on here. Alex has a big point of us getting into and argument. But it just all seems like they don't want us back together. It wouldn't hurt to see him or call him. But just to be safe, I'll talk to him on Monday. Hopefully he will answer all my questions.

When I get home from my long walk I head straight to my bed. I won't be able to sleep or do anything. I just want to know why he said 'forget me' that memory haunts me every damn day. I don't understand why he couldn't just let us be in long distance. I would be so much happier and not resort to Grey who seems to be bothered by Austin's return.

I'm also bothered by him too. He came back for me.... all of these things are giving me mixed emotions.

Austin's P.O.V.

The next afternoon I head to Alex's house to talk to him and only him.

Yesterday's encounter with Grey didn't go so well.

Grey's eyes widened when he opened the door. I slid my hands in my pockets and passed him. Katie and Alex sat on the couch their jaws on the floor.

"How?" Alex runs a hand through his hair.

I shrugged.

"I'm not here to visit." I say chuckling
