Chapter 67

He held me a bit longer before connecting our lips once more.

The kiss stopped abruptly when we heard a knock on my door.

"Austin?" His father called.

"What?" he snapped sourly.

"Can we talk?"

Austin removed his arms from me and opened the door. His father stood by the door clearly concerned about his son. I get the feeling that his father heard everything.

Austin's P.O.V.

I hate him so much.

I could care less if he heard us.

My father led me downstairs, to the backyard. He closed the glass door and slid his hands in his dress pants. I used to look up to this man and want to be like him. Nothing matters to me anymore- well besides my mother and Emma.

"Austin I'm sorry" my eyes widened

Did he just say that?

"For what?" I pushed

"For being negative, I should lighten up and not bring my negativity into the Perez's lives. I'm being completely selfish and I hope that you can tell Emma that I don't hate her In any way."

What. The. Hell.

I was expecting I'm sorry for being a shitty dad speech but again this is about him.

He began to open the slide door, but I can't contain myself any longer.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I said, trying to keep my calm.

"Excuse me?"

"Why can't you see the real problem?"

"What problem? Oh you mean the one where my son leaves without my permission to see some goddamn girl, who he's supposedly 'in love' with, and is most like to be a failure in the future because he won't follow his fathers foot steps?"

"You know what? Fuck you. I'm sorry that I'm happy here, and you have to be the provider and work your ass off and drag everyone into the pits of hell with you!"

"Do you really think I could do this when I was your age! I didn't want to leave my girlfriend either but hey! Your here now because of that!"

"I don't fucking care about what you had to go through! I just want you to be here for me, instead of being a bag of shit!"

My fists balled up, but he didn't say anything.

"That's what you think of me?" he asked, calmer than before.

"Yes." I didn't hesitate, I passed him and walked back into the house. Emma watched me from the staircase with worried eyes. She scurried from the stair case and followed behind me.

"Where are you going?"

"Do you want to come with me or not?"

Emma nodded her head,and slipped her toms on. Soon we found ourselves in my car heading to the nearest Wendy's.

After ordering in the drive through, Emma lets out a small chuckle.

"May I help you?" I hissed

"I just find it funny how you would eat through this problem."

"It's not like you girls don't do it."

"Yeah but we most likely wouldn't leave the house because we're too depressed but, if anything we're all over the sugar in the house."

"Makes sense."

The drive to my place was filled with lectures on female depression. Now, I'm not depressed but I have been before. It just seems having my father around changes me.

Having Emma helps big time, when I was in Alabama I was walking anger. She keeps me calm and not angry to some degree.

"Aw, look at my big boy eating his nuggets" she cooed in my ear.

I don't exactly know why I did it but I threw a nugget at her face.

"What the hell?' she laughed

"You gonna eat it?"

"It fell on the floor-"

"Give me it then"

"I'm not gonna let you eat floor food"

"I do it all the time, give me the nugget"

"I will not!" she giggled

"I paid good money for that nugget and I'm gonna eat it if you don't!"

She popped the nugget in her mouth with no shame. I looked her in the eye before letting out a great, gigantic laugh.

"Your not kissing me, with that mouth!" I said, popping another nugget in my mouth.

"That's not fair!" she whined.

"You should've given it to me."

"Then I wouldn't be kissing you!"

"You can't resist me." I smiled slurping down my drink.

"Oh, but you can resist me?"

"To a certain extent, yeah"

"Okay Mahone, I'm gonna get you real good."

"Game on, Perez."

I've been super super busy, with school ending and all that stuff anyways thank you,thank you ,thank you for all the support!
