Chapter 42

"No it won't" I say coldly, "Nothing will, not after you leave... it's not alright Austin I'm breaking, and I know you are too" He places his hands on my shoulder to turn me around.

The sun, lit up his dark eyes and sticky face. The tears were evident due to his puffy eyes. His dark eyes stared into mine waiting for an answer.

"Does this look like I don't care? Emma if I could change all of this would, you know I would"

I looked down at the clear salty water, I shrugged from Austin's hold and walked deeper into the water. I could hear him deeply sigh, and the sound of his arms smacking his thighs.

I know he care... but I can't help it; but to doubt certain things. The sky was still blue, and so was the water.

I should lighten up, just for us. Because staying like this until he leaves won't be right. If he's gonna leave me, I want him to be happy. Me sitting here all moody and shit won't make that wish come true.

I stand up, and walk to the angry Austin, sitting in the warm sand.

I held my hand out for him to take; I smiled signaling it was okay.

"I'm trying" I huff

"I can see" the corner of his mouth rose in a smirk. I kissed his cheek and led him back to the water.

"Can we try to have fun?" He asks

"Maybe" I chuckle before splashing him with water.

He pushes his hair back before he runs after me. I run deeper into the water before I pick up my feet and just swim. I turn around and Austin isn't in sight. I dive down and see him swimming straight at me his arms open wide to catch me. He grabs me by my waist; then comes up for water.

I struggle from his grip and try to swim away but he's to damn strong. Austin shoves me over his shoulder and walks back up the shore.

He puts me down gently, and grabs his towel to wipe his face from the salty water. I walk over to my towel laying on the sand, I decide to lay down myself. The sky was beginning to turn dark and only the moon, that was shaped like a fingernail was , the only visible shape I could make out in the sky. The warm orange sun was barely visible in the horizon, it's light was shown over the ocean that now became dark along with the sky.

Austin sets his towel down next to mine and takes a seat.

I realized that I've been caught up in my own selfish feeling to realize how freakin hot Austin has looked all day. The sun has given him a pleasant tan, and his six pack drives me insane. Did I ever mention that he has back dimples.

"Shit" I muttered.

He turned his head to look down at me,, I watched as he licked his plump lips. His eyes looked up and down my body. He shook his head.

"What's wrong?"

"Yooouuuuu" I whined.

"What" he raised an eyebrow. "Oh"


Austin's frame was now hovering over me, he held himself up with his arms and kissed my forehead.

"Let's play a game." He talked slowly


"What is it?" I breathed uncontrollably.

"It's called," he traced kisses down my jaw line and face. He kissed me on my lips slowly, nibbling on my bottom lip.

"What?" I mumbled

He kissed me again, sliding his tongue in my mouth. The pleasure was unbearable, as a moan escaped my lips I've come to realize i'll miss these moments.

"It's called tease the shit, out of Emma" he smiled before chuckling.

I pushed him off of me, and crossed my arms. I felt my cheeks flush, as they turn a bright pink. Austin stood up and started laughing, hard.

"I told you I'd get you back" He laughed, " you played a good game though" he kept laughing.

When he was done he held out his hand for me too take. I stared at his hand questioning if I should take it.

"Oh come on you can't get mad at me for payback."

"Yes I can" I glare

"Come on I'm hungry"

"You always are" I take his hand

He pulls me in once more for another kiss on the cheek.

"Forgive me now?"

"Nope" I laughed
