As promised Robert came over the following day after school. In fact I finished one of the songs I struggled with, and we started another one together. I was impressed honestly, Roberts style has grown into more serious music and I like it.

"Can I ask you something?" Robert announced unexpectedly. I nodded.

"Why do you want help writing music if you don't want anyone to know about it?"

"That's a good question." I say meaning it. I pondered for a little bit trying to find a reasonable answer.

"I don't know these are just my feelings put into thought and rhythms, words that I can't technically talk about in speech but-"

"You're difficult" Robert chuckled.

Emma's P.O.V.
"Was it me or was that car ride to the party awkward?" Cameron chuckled while pouring me a glass of lemonade.

"Exactly why did you invite us over here again?" Katie cuts the conversation.

"I know why I invited Emma, but not you blondie."

"Ouch" I laughed ,"He got you pretty good there Katie."

"Oh shut up both of you" She rolled her eyes.

"Anyways, yesterday at that thing Austin was,I don't know weird, he kept watching this guy I think his name is Alex or something. That guy would watch him too , and I just awkwardly stood there trying to figure out just exactly what was happening." I looked at Cameron who still wondered what was happening.

But to me it was clear as day. From the sounds of it, Austin is trying to replace Alex with Cameron. Austin was clearly trying to make Alex jealous by hanging out and bringing Cameron to the party. Smart, yet stupid.

"Cameron you're so stupid,the kid was using you!" Katie was clearly on the ball but I just don't understand why she's so rude to Cameron. It's pretty funny though. He looked confused, but I don't think he was confused about the situation.

"I thought he actually accepted my apology and wanted to be my actual-genuine friend." Cameron wasn't phased the least.

"You're really gullible" Katie added.

I decided to just let the two bicker about whatever they pleased but, that didn't bother me the least. Usually if be texting Austin but it seems as if he was busy himself today...

"Earth to Emma?!" Katie waved a hand in my face, "Lets do something"

"Like what?" Cameron barged in once again.

"I don't think I was talking to you, Cameron." Katie backfired. I don't exactly understand why she's being so difficult with him. She watched his videos all the time, she still does. Katie adores Cameron, but I don't know what kind of front she's putting on.

My phone began to buzz in my hand, "Its my dad, be quiet." I shush their bickering.

"Hello?"

"I need you to come over here, right now.." His tone was different, as if this was something I wouldn't like or maybe something bad? Whatever was going on its scaring me a little bit.

"Okay," Katie and Cameron looked at me like something was wrong. I explained to them exactly what was going through my head, but in a few minutes I left, and promised them I'd come back over eventually.

As I walked out of Cameron's house, I saw another car parked in my driveway, I didn't recognize it what so ever. I open the door and enter the living room where my dad would probably be, but unexpected company hit me directly in the face.

There, sitting on the couch, was my mother. A smile tugged at her lips, as her identical eyes landed on mine. I didn't know what to say or do, I just stood there dazed.

"Hey," She waved. "I came over here to ask you something, and I wanted you to make the decision not your dad" she chuckled giving him a sly smirk. "I was wondering if you'd like to spend the summer with me.. or at least a part of it."

"I uh... sure I guess." I didn't know what I'd be getting myself into but I guess getting to know her wouldn't be so bad. I guess...

She then stood up and moved to hug me, but I just stood there shocked and every other thing at once.

"I'll see both of you later!" Letting go of me she walked to the door and waved us goodbye. For some reason when it came to her, I couldn't exactly process anything. She makes me emotionally unstable, even when she wasn't here.

I know I haven't updated in what seems like forever but I haven't had any motivation to do so whatsoever. I just got really frustrated when I see over a thousand people reading each chapter and I only get 20-30 votes.
