Chapter 19
“Why so late Zack?” Emily asked as we walked into Abby’s basement where her flat screen TV and her game systems were.
“Shut up Emily. Don’t start.” He said and went and sat down on the couch.
“It was my fault.” Tyler piped up. “I was late to Courts house.”
“Oh ok.” Emily said. “By the way I’m Emily.”
“Hi I’m Tyler.” Ty said.
After going through who everyone was we sat on the couch trying to figure out what to do.
“I say Truth or Dare.” Vincent said and Abby, Justin, Emily, Tyler and Zack nodded in agreement.
“No.” I said flat out disagreeing.
“I agree with Court.” Chace said.
“Why not?” Vincent asked.
“Because I don’t do Truth or Dare. I do Truth. Yes I know I’m a whimp.” I said being honest. I’ve always hated this game because I hate getting dared to do something I really don’t want to do.
“I just don’t like the game.” Chace said.
“Fine Chace won’t play he can make sure things stay… sort of clean.” Justin said. “And Court you can just play Truth.”
Everybody agreed because we had finally compromised on a game and we started playing.
“Ok Vincent you first since you came up with the idea to play. Truth or Dare?” Abby asked.
“Truth” He answered and waited for the question.
“Ok. Oh before I ask I just want everyone to know you only get one Chicken." Abby said letting us know that if we don’t want to do something we say chicken but we can only say it once for the whole game. “Ok Vincent who was the last person to break your heart?”
I looked down at my hands in my lap knowing what his answer was going to be and knowing that I didn’t want to hear it.
I heard him sigh and then say, “Courtney.” I could feel everyone’s eyes turn to me but I couldn’t look at anyone. I just kept staring at my hands.
“Ok Zack Truth or Dare?” Vincent asked.
