Detention Adventure || James Potter

Today you had history of magic, which you found really boring, you sighed as you walked into the classroom and took a seat next to your best friend.

"Hey!" (y/b/f/n) Said, smiling widely at you, "Hello." You mumbled back, you where very tired because you had stayed up really late the night before thinking of a prank to pull on someone who was mean to your friend.

About fifteen minutes into the lesson you put your head onto the desk and shut your eyes, falling asleep.

"(Y/N) (Y/L/N)!! Wake up!" Professor Bins shouted, making your head fly up from the desk, "Do you want a detention?" He asked, staring down at you.

"Not really." You replied, yawning and stretching, "And besides, I already have a detention tonight but I might be able to fit you in somewhere next week." You continued, making the class laugh.

The one persons laugh which stood out to you was a boy with black hair, deep brown eyes and glasses, which you soon recognised to be James Potter. You had spoken to him a couple of time, he seemed nice and you got along with Sirius, Remus and Peter.

"Right that's it. Miss (y/l/n) and Mr Potter, you both have detention tonight." Professor Bins said, you sighed, "But I already hav-" You started to say but Bins cut you off.

"I don't care, I'll clear it with your house master." Bins said, then he turned back to the bored and continued to teach the last five minutes of the lesson.

"You know, you really shouldn't get to many detentions." (y/b/f/n) whispered to you as she scribbled down what Bins was saying.

"Oh yea, why's that?" You sighed, doodling on you piece of parchment.

"Because its bad!" (y/b/f/n) exclaimed, still writing.

You rolled your eyes, "Oh live a little would you?" You sighed.

Feeling eyes on you, you turned around and made eye contacted with James who sent you smirked and threw a ball of parchment at you. Picking it up and opening it, it read:

See you in detention ;)

You laughed, looking back at him to see him grinning widely.

Calmly you walked to your detention, you were already five minutes late so there was no point in rushing.

You pushed open to doors to the classroom to find Professor Bins sitting at his desk and James sitting in the third row of the classroom.

"Why are you late?" Bins asked, James turned around and looked at you, smirking.

You shrugged, "Sorry, I forgot." You replied, taking a seat next to James, "Why are you here?" You whispered to James.

"Laughing and having fun in general." He replied, grinning.

"What a rebel." You laughed, rolling your eyes.

"Not as much as you, sweetheart." He whispered back.

About five minutes later Professor Bins fell asleep.

You stood up and began to walk out, "Where are you going? You can't leave me in this hell!" James exclaimed, you laughed, "Don't worry, Bins always falls asleep and he'll wake up once that alarm clock goes off, so we should be back just before that goes off."

"Oh." James said, and stood up as well, "I might as well come with you." He continued.

You and James walked around the castle for what seemed like hours, talking and laughing about friends and family.

Walking down the fifth floor corridor you turned the corner and saw the person you had been panning to prank. Lucius Malfoy.

You grabbed James's sleeve and pulled him back, "This is brilliant." You whispered, excitedly.

James looked at you with confusion written across his face, "What's brilliant?" He asked.

"Malfoy has been really mean to (y/b/f/n), calling her mudblood and stuff." You explained, taking off your bag, "I've been waiting to do this for ages." You added.

"I didn't expect you to be a prankster." James said, you raised an eyebrow, "Watch and learn." You replied.

Out of your bag you pulled a vile of potion that you had cooked up earlier that day, "Whats that?" James asked, pointing at the bottle.

"Its a potion that makes you shrink." You answered, carefully placing the bottle down and pulling out green dye and one last bottle.

"Whats that?" James asked again, you grinned, "Its a potion that covers you in boils and warts." You replied, placing the bottle next to the other one.

You looked round the corner to see Malfoy busy, bulling so second year Hufflepuff, "That should keep hims Busy." You said.

Then you walked to a broom cupboard and pulled out a bucket, placing it on the ground you poured in the green dye.

"Could you keep an eye on Malfoy to make sure he doesn't come over this way?" You asked James, who smiled and nodded.

You then poured in the two potions and gave the mixture a stir. Once it was done you pulled out some wire and put it one either side of the corridor and then levitated the bucket in the air, magically connecting the wire to the bucket turning it all invisible.

"Okay, step over here very carefully, you could activate the trap." You said to James, he nodded. You took his hand to help him over the wire.

"Right, now we have to make Malfoy come down this corridor." You said, trying to think of a way.

"OI! MALFOY! YOU SUCK!" James bellowed, making you jump slightly, "Or you could do that." You said, running down the corridor and hiding be hind that corner.

Looking from behind the corner you could see Lucius strutting down the corridor with his "friends" shuffling behind him.

Just as he reached the middle of the corridor the trap sprung.

There was green dye every where, all over the walls, floor and even the celling.

Where Lucius was once was, now stood a short green boy with warts and boils all over him.

You and James burst out laughing, "Malfoy you have finally taken your true form! A goblin!" You said, through laughter.

Malfoy looked furious, "GET THEM!" He yelled, his goons sprinted down the corridor as you and James ran away laughing your heads off.

After about ten minutes of solid running you came to a stop. James wrapped his arms around your waist and picked you up, spinning you round.

"James put me down!" You laughed, James gently put you down, his arms still wrapped around your waist.

"That was the most fun I have had in a wile." You said, James grinned, "Anywhere is fun with you." He answered, making you laugh.

"Your so cheesy."

"As cheesy as they get." James replied, winking at you.

"(y/n) I was wondering if you would like to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?" James asked, blushing slightly.

"I would love to." You answered, kissing his cheek, making him to blush more and causing you to laugh.

You checked your watch, Bins alarm clock would go off in five minutes.

"We've got to go!" You said, grabbing James's hand and running back to Bins's classroom.

You ran in and sat down in your seats just as the clock started to ring.

"That was close." James said, squeezing your hand under the table.
