Chapter 7- Good Luck

A/N: ^ this is the outfit Aspen wears for work.

*beep beep*
My alarm clock wakes me up at 6:30am, giving me an hour and a half to get ready.

I shower and blow dry my hair. Anna insists that I curl it, she says it looks best that way. After I curl it, I do my makeup. I decide to keep it natural, with a hint of a smokey eye.

I put on the outfit that Anna chose out, and I get a text from Anna.

"Tell me how your first day at work goes!" -Anna.
"Will do. Text you later."

It's 7:50, and I get a taxi and head to the hotel.
I get there at around 7:55am, and go to the elevator.

The elevator stops at another floor, and a lady gets on.
"Good morning." I say to her.
"Good morning. Are you new here? I haven't seen you here before." She asks.
I nod, "Yes, I'm Mr. Johnson's new assistant."
She looks at me, "Oh really. He's a hard man to please. A lot of his other assistants got fired. To him, they just never did anything right.." she says.

Her stop comes, and she gets off,
"Good luck." She says to me while walking away.

After she says all of that, I start getting nervous.
I can't afford to get fired.
The elevator stops at me floor, and I walk down the hall. Someone told me his room number was 12, so I'm trying to find it.

"10, 11, 12...." I whisper to myself as I approach his door.

The door is halfway open, but I still knock.
When I knock, the door creaks open, and I glance in. 
I see some girl sitting on Mr. Johnson's lap.

I look at his face, and it's Jace Johnson.
I was not expecting to see him.
And the girl on his lap, is Claire Meadows.

Claire Meadows is a famous model.
She's very beautiful and has ginger hair.
I've heard she has a reputation of being very mean.

"Who is that?" Claire says in a disgusted voice, looking me up and down.

Before he can answer, I speak up.
"Um, I'll just go wait in the hall until you're ready to see me." I say while walking backwards into the hall.

I shut his door, and sit in a chair in the hall.

After a couple of minutes, Claire walks out and smirks at me while walking past me.

"Miss Montgomery." Jace says.

I turn and look at him.
"You can come in now."
