Chapter 16- Are you that easy?

*Sunday Morning*
I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing.
I look at who's calling, and it's Jace.
"Hello?" I say.
"Hey Aspen."
"Did you need something?" I ask.
"Yes. My friends and I are going to the beach today. You and your friends are welcome to come."
"Who's all coming?" I ask.
"Um, Matt, Landon, and Ashley. I'm pretty sure you met Landon last night."
"Yeah, he's cool." I say.
But the only thing running through my mind, is that Ashely is going to the beach too.
"Be there at 5pm." He says.

I hang up, and text my friends in a group message-
"Beach today with Jace and his friends. We'll take Anna's car."- Aspen.
"Sure."-Chase
"YAY!"-Anna
"If Jace is there, I'll be there."-Ryan.

At 4:30pm, Anna comes over, and we start getting ready.
"Which swimsuit are you wearing?" Anna asks.
"Um, I'm wearing the black cut out bikini." I say.
"Ok, I'm borrowing your blue bikini."
"Okay."

At 4:50pm, we I sit in the passenger seat of Anna's car, and we go to pick Chase and Ryan.
"You girls look fabulous." Ryan says as he gets in the back seat.
"We know." We both say at the same time.

We get to the beach parking lot, and I see Jace waiting by the car.
I see Ashley, Landon, and I'm assuming the other person next to them is Matt.
We park next to them, and I see Ashley smiling as Chase and Ryan get out of the car.

But when she sees Anna and I, her smile quickly fades.

Jace comes next to me with his arm around me,
"Hey babe." He says.
I know he's acting, but the thought of him calling me 'babe', gives my stomach butterflies.
"Hey." I say while looking up at him smiling.
I glance at Anna, and her and Chase are talking to Matt.

I look at Ashley, and she's talking to Ryan.
"Hey, I'm Ashley."
"I'm Ryan." He says.
She wraps her arms around him, and whispers something in his ear.

He quickly gets her arms off of him.

"Honey, are you that easy? We just met and you're already all over me. I'm gay." He says.
Ashely's cheeks go red, and she looks down.

Everyone starts laughing, and Ryan just sips on his drink.
