Chapter 9- Accidents

*Friday Afternoon*

After work, I went to my college.
I had class today, which doesn't start for a couple of hours.
Anna asked me to come here early so we could all hang out.
I see Anna, Ryan, and Chase sitting in the field.
They all look at me, and gesture for me to come over.

"Hey guys." I say as I sit down.
Ryan hits the cookie I was holding, right out of my hand.
"And when were you planning to tell me you're working for THE Jace Johnson?" Ryan yelled.
"I'm sorry. I didn't think it was important." I say.
"Not important," he says mimicking my voice,
"It is VERY important!"
Chase hands Ryan his coffee, and he calms down.
"I'm sorry sweetie. I'm cranky today." Ryan said looking at me.
"It's okay."
"But seriously.... the things I would do to Jace Johnson." Ryan says smirking and takes a sip of his coffee.

If you haven't figured it out already, Ryan is gay.
He's the gay guy best friend every girl wants.

"He's the hottest guy I've ever seen." Anna says.
"He's okay." Chase says.
Everyone turns and looks at him, like he has a second head growing.
"He's better than okay." Anna says.

Ryan looks at me and smiles, "So, any office sex yet?"

*Monday Morning*
I wake up and get ready. Today I'm wearing black skinny jeans, a lilac blouse, and black wedges.

I grab a breakfast bar, get a taxi, and I arrive at the hotel.

I'm three minutes away from being late, so I hurry to the elevator. I push my floor number, and the elevator stops to pick up someone else.

Claire Meadows.

She has two cups of coffee and asks me a question,
"Going to Jace's office?" She asks me.
"Yeah."
"Same, I went to get coffee and thought I'd bring him some. Pretty sure his assistant is suppose to be doing that, but looks like she's late." She says smirking at me.

I squeeze my fist, and hold back my smart comments. The last thing I need right now, is being rude to my boss's girlfriend.

We each get off, and walk to Mr. Johnson's office.
I walk in, and sit at my desk.
"Good morning Mr. Johnson." I say with a smile on my face.
"Good morning Miss Montgomery." He says smiling back at me.
I glance at Claire, and she is giving me a dirty look.

"Babe, I brought you coffee, because no one else did." She said looking at me in a subtle way.
"Thanks, I appreciate it." He says.
She walks over to his desk, and hands him his coffee.
She walks towards my desk, and stands right in front me while talking to Mr. Johnson.
"So, are we still up for dinner tonight?" She asks him.
"Yeah, I'm not sure what time I'll finish work though."
"Well, you better finish quick. I have a reservation at the new Chinese restaurant." She says in a rude tone.

She puts her coffee down near me, and glances at me, and then Jace.
Her hand knocks down her coffee, and it spills all over my clothes and my paperwork.

I jump up quickly, and try wiping everything off.
"What happened?" Jace yells.
"Well you're girlfriend just spilled her coffee all over my work." I say.
I was planning on being the mature one, and ignoring her rude comments,

but once you ruin my new expensive outfit on purpose, I'll destroy you.

"I'm so sorry! Accidents happen right?" She says with a smile on her face.
I look up at her, and she bursts out laughing.

I look at her and say,
"Yes, they do happen. That explains why your parents had you."

A/N- almost 400 reads?!?!
