Chapter 25- Moved On

"What did you text him?" Anna asks me.
"I told him I don't want us to 'date' anymore."
"Really?" She asks.
I nod, "The whole time we were fake dating, I think I was falling for him, but he wasn't falling for me. Plus us 'dating' was a lot of drama; you know with Ashley and stuff."
"Maybe you should talk to him." Anna says.
"And say what?" I ask.
Anna looks down, "I don't know."
"Ugh! It's gonna be so awkward at work." I say as I fall back on the couch.
"You're still going to work there?" She asks.
"Well yeah. I need this job; it pays really well." I say.

"Are you okay about how everything turned out?" Anna asks.
"I don't know. Part of me still wants to be with Jace, but the other part is telling me 'he was just using you to stop Claire from annoying him.'" I say.
She walks over next to me, "We can do whatever you want, just name it and we'll do it."
I sit up, "Let's go out tonight."
"The club?" Anna asks.
"Yeah, we can have a girls night."
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Yeah, it'll be fun." I say.
"Sounds like a plan."
"What are Ryan and Chase doing tonight?" I ask.
"Ryan is with Justin, and I think Chase has a date."
"How are you and Matt?" I ask.
She smiles, "Good, I really like him."
I smile, "Shall we go get ready now?"
"We shall."

"What are you wearing?" I ask Anna.
"That thigh length red dress." She says while doing her makeup.
"Okay."
"What are you wearing?" She asks me.
"Haven't decided yet."
I look through my closet, and try finding something.

I end up picking out a short lilac dress, and it has sparkly detailing at the top part.
I finish my eye makeup, and wear my hair in loose waves.
I put on my sparkly heels, and see if Anna is ready.
"Hey, you ready?" I ask.
"Yeah, you look awesome."
"Me? Look at you!"
I smile at her, and we leave and go to her car.

"So, how are you feeling?" She asks me.
"I don't know, I kinda miss him. Is that weird?" I ask.
"No." She says.
"What are your thoughts on everything?" I ask.
She sighs, "Honestly, I liked you and Jace together. It's sad that your 'relationship' with him is over."

When Jace said that the kiss was just part of the act, my heart felt like it literally shattered.
I thought that I might as well end our 'relationship' before I end up getting even more broken-hearted.

"Do you think Ashely knows that we 'broke up?'" I ask.
"I don't know. They're best friends right?"
"Yeah."
She frowns, "She probably knows."
I check my phone, and go to my social media.
"Damn." I say as I look at my phone.
"What?" Anna asks.
"Aspen Montgomery and Jace Johnson broke up." I say as I read a post that I was tagged in.
"It's all over my Instagram." I say.
"How? You literally just 'dumped' him." She says.
I sigh, and put my phone in my purse.

We arrive at the club, and we have a 'worry free' night. Anna and I agreed to only have one drink, because we have to drive tonight.
So we basically danced the whole night.
"My feet are killing me!" Anna yells over the music.
"Same. My legs are about to fall off!" I yell back.
"Wanna go home?" She asks.
I nod, and we leave the club.

We get in the car, and we put our seat belts on.
"I want food." I say.
"You read my mind." Anna says.
"Preferably junk food." I say.
"You're still reading my mind." She says.
"I want Ben and Jerry's." I say.
"You. Are. A. MIND READER!"

We drive to Walmart, and get a ton of junk food.
"I think we're done." I say as I look at our basket that is full of food.
Anna nods, and we bring the basket to the cashier.
His eyes widen as we empty the basket and hand it to him.
"Do you guys think you've got enough food?" He says is a sarcastic tone.

"Nah, so we're gonna stop at Taco Bell on the way home." Anna says while smiling.

"Oh my god. How are you guys so tiny?" He asks.
Anna and I exchange looks.
"We wonder that all the time." We say at the same time.
We pay, and walk out.

We go to my apartment, and get our snacks.
"Chug, chug, chug, chug!" Anna yells as I chug my milkshake.
I finish and slam the cup down on the table.
"Ahhh!" I yell.
"What's wrong?"
"Brain freeze." I say.
She laughs, and I start laughing.
"You know, normal college students chug down shots of alcohol, and we chug down milkshakes." Anna says while laughing.
I laugh, and turn the tv on.
"Go to that channel." Anna says.
I click on the channel, and sit back.
This channel is basically all the drama that goes on in famous people's lives.

It's very entertaining.

I turn up the volume, and we listen.
"As we all know the famous millionaire, Jace Johnson, and his girlfriend, Aspen Montgomery, broke up today. We'd thought Jace would be upset, but I guess he moved on." The lady on tv says.

"What is she talking about?" Anna asks.
I shrug, and focus back on the tv.

"Someone sent us a picture of Jace Johnson and Ashley Smith kissing!"

The picture shows on the screen, and it feels like my heart stopped beating.

The lady on tv starts talking again,

"Looks like Jace already moved on."
