Chapter 12- The Plan

"A plan?" I ask.
"Yes. Just hear me out." He says.
I sigh, and sit on the edge of the desk, and raise my eyebrows at him.
"Well?" I ask.
"Okay. Ever since I dumped Claire, she won't leave me alone. Like seriously look at my phone," he says while handing me his phone. There is literally 50 text messages, and 12 calls.

"So, I told her that I have a girlfriend and to leave me alone. The public somehow found out about my 'girlfriend'.
But, Claire has finally been leaving me alone." He says while looking at me.

"So, you want me to be your 'fake girlfriend?'" I ask.
"Yes, and I'll help you out." He says.
"Help me out with what?" I ask.
He looks around for a while, and then says something,
"I'll make your dream of becoming an artist come true." He says.
"How would you do that?" I ask.
"There's a grand opening of an art museum down the road soon. I'll talk to the people there, and put your art work on display." He says.
I bite my lip, and consider this whole plan.
I look up at him, and I can see the hope in his eyes.
I sigh,
"I'll do it."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Great, okay. We should practice what you should say to the paparazzi." He says.
"So everything you said about me to the paparazzi, you were just acting?" I ask.
"Well, yeah, I had to make us dating believable." He says while shrugging.
I nod at him.

I have to admit, when he said he was just acting about him liking me, it hurt. A lot.

"Can I tell my friends that we aren't really dating?" I ask.
He thinks for a while,
"I guess, only if you trust them though. We don't need them telling everyone about our plan."
"Right."

"So you guys are pretending to date?" Chase asks after I tell them about the plan.
"Yeah."
"And he's putting your art work in the famous museum?" Anna asks.
"Yup."

"And the ship name will be Jaspen." Ryan says.
"Or Ace." Anna says.
Ryan looks at her, "Mine sounds better." He says while taking a sip of his coffee.
"Ace." She says.
"Jaspen." He says.
"Ace."
"Jaspen."
"Ace!"
"Jaspen!"
"Ac-," Anna started saying, but I interrupted her.
"The ship name is the least of my worries you guys." I say.
They nod, and look back to me.
"So, are you guys going out in public anytime soon?" Chase ask.
"Actually, he asked me to go with him to a party for his cousin. The party is in a ballroom, so he said to dress very fancy." I say.
"Ooh, I'll do your hair." Anna says.
"And I'll do the makeup." Ryan says.
"When is it?" Chase asks.
"This Saturday."
"2 more days till I can do your makeup!" Ryan yells excitedly.
Ryan pulls out his phone, and starts looking up makeup looks.
"Want your hair up, or down?" Anna asks.
"Hmm, up." I say.
She nods, and starts looking up hairstyles.
"What about your dress?" Chase asks.
"I'm going dress shopping tomorrow after work." I say, and they all nod.
