Prince Dean
"Please Evan just listen! Dinner will be ready soon and we are required to help get you settled and if we don't help you, then we get into trouble and because of me, you," I continue pleading.
I hear a bang.
"Evan are you okay?" I shout.
There is no answer.
I reach for my keys, but they aren't hanging from my clip. The clip isn't even there! "I can't believe I lost my keys!"
"What? You have a master key! What if you lost it outside or at the school?" Alex panicked. "Evan, let us in!"
"Would you stop making such a racket?!" she yelled. "The door is unlocked."
"Oh..." I reached for the knob and it turned freely. The door opened.
I feel really stupid now.
"Just let us help, okay?" Alex said gently.
"What is there to help with? I have three outfits and a few personal items in my suitcase. Not nearly enough for you to degrade yourself to help."
"Where's the uniform?" I inquired.
"I lost it."
"How do you loose that? I can't believe you!" I exclaimed.
"We'll have to call the school in the morning or find it. In the meantime supper is at six sharp which is in twenty minutes. Please be on time," Alex made his statement with an air of finality. He exited the room.
He has matured a lot.
