Being the costume designer for Hamilton: An American Musical is hard. Especially since everybody tried to distract me from my job.

Everyday, somebody either got a hole in their costume or wanted to gossip about what the boys/girls had done to them.

Today, I'm mega stressed. I still have to finish Maria Reynolds' dress and opening night is in two weeks!

"You okay, Heather?" Pippa asks walking into my workspace

"Nope. This dress will be the death of me." I responded.

"That's for Jazzy, right?" She guessed.

"Yep." I said popping the "p".

"You seem very stressed," Pippa noted "You should come here tonight. We're all having a little get-together."

"I don't know, Pippa" I said.

"Rafa will be there!" She said.

"Alright, what time is this thing at?" I asked.

"Heather, you need to talk to him!" Pippa said.

She was the only one that knew about my crush on Rafael. He and I had been friends since college. Of course, if he found out about my feelings, he'd be too weirded out.

"Heck no! How about you talk to him!" I yelled, not paying attention to my own words.

"Will do, Heatha!" She said and ran out of the room.

Oh god, I thought. This is going to be one crazy night.

----------------------------------
For the get-together, I decided to wear a spaghetti strap shirt and ripped jeans (picture shown above.) I put my hair into a braid.

When I got there, there were already dozens of people there.

"Heather! My favorite gal!" Rafa said walking towards to me.

"Oh hey Rafa!" I greeted. God, I thought. I'm such a dork!

"Can I buy you a drink?" He offered.

"No thank you, I don't drink." I replied.

After a few minutes of chatting with Rafa, we all got called to the front of the stage, where we play truth or dare.

"Heather, truth or dare?" Daveed asked from the stage.

"Dare!" I said.

"I dare you to call your crush." He said.

"Um, I don't have my crush's number. So..." I said.

"Yeah you do!" Pippa said.

"Fine!" I huffed.

Instead of clicking on "Rafa", my finger slipped and I clicked on "Ramos".

"Frick wrong person!" I exclaimed.

Jasmine rolled her eyes in response. For some reason, she always thought I liked Anthony.

"Who was it supposed to be then?" Lin asks.

"Someone." I said smirking.

I swear I heard someone mention Rafa's name.

I took my place on the stage and continued the game.

"Wait, can I try something real quick?" Pippa asked "Rafa, smile at Heather. Heather, look him in the eyes."

I did as I was told. And my god, it was so hard to focus and not to blush.

"Okay, let's continuing the game!" I said into the microphone. "Oak, truth or dare?"

"Truth!" He responded.

"Alright.. Is it true that you and Daveed have hooked up before?" I asked.

"No!" He said laughing.

Later on, people were performing covers of songs and even their own songs. Leslie sang Joey, Joey, Joey.

"Wanna dance, Heather?" Rafa asked.

"Sure!" I said.

I put my arms around his neck and he put his around my waist. I was lucky he couldn't see my face because I was probably blushing.

After the party, I decided to head home.

"Heather!" Rafa called out to me.

"I have a confession to make." He said.

"Me too." I said.

"I really really like you." He said.

Is this actually happening? I thought.

"I really really like you too." I said smiling.
