Pairing: Jason Dean (JD) X Reader Summary: So basically this is my first soulmate au and most people at the school already found their soulmates. JD is new and him and Y/n already hate each other. But could it be possible that they're soulmates? TW: Yelling, too much crustiness at the end. How this happened: "Okay but a soulmate AU where the reader and JD hate each other? holy poop is anybody up for that?" -me "Omg a soulmate au where they hate eachother could be brilliant" -anonymous "Ooh they hate each other, the plot thickens!" -me WC: 632

It was Y/n's senior year at Westerburg High School. Finally! Everything was supposed to be perfect. Well almost everything. You can't see color until you've met your soulmate. Y/n hasn't met her's yet so her sight is still black and white. And you can't just meet your soulmate by introducing yourself, saying 'hi' or shaking hands. You have to either hug or kiss.

Ever since Y/n found out about that, she forced herself to become a hug person so that she could learn quicker. All the 'popular' kids were lucky because they had already found their soulmates. Heather Chandler was with Kurt Kelly, Heather Duke and Heather McNamara were with Ram Sweeny, and Martha Dunnstock ended up being with Y/n's cousin, Daniel (just go along with it fam.)

But there was only about 1 person that she would never hug. Jason frickin Dean. They've hated each other ever since his first day at Westerburg. He liked to cause trouble and she liked to sit back and read her book. That's what caused them to argue very loudly and interrupt the class on the first day of school.

"Y/n, you paying attention?" Ms. Fleming asked.

"Yeah, of course!" Y/n lied, putting her book down.

"Stop lying, Y/n. In the next 5 minutes, you'll be wrapped up in that book again." JD commented with a groan.

"Actually class ends in 5 minutes, genius so probably not." Y/n sassed back.

"Hush, children." Ms. Fleming ordered.

"Books really do make brains worse." JD added.

"Actually, reading expands your learning capacity, so I'd check yourself before you wreck yourself." Y/n said, earning some laughs from their classmates.

"Well it's obviously not true for you. You're so wrapped up in that book, you barely pay attention in class. So all that new space in your brain just goes to waste!" JD complained, earning more laughs.

"I'm sorry, who are you again to be talking to me this way?" Y/n said.

And just as JD was about to say something, the bell rang.

"Exactly, you shouldn't be talking to me that way." Y/n said on her way out.

The 2 never talked again, unless it was for their arguments which they both found very fun while the audiences found it extremely annoying. Their friends (lets pretend JD has friends)would ship them and almost got them close enough to kiss.

"Where are you guys taking me?" Y/n asked.

"Somewhere special." Ram replied.

"I'm gonna take off the blindfold but don't open your eyes. Wait for my approval." Kurt said, backing away from her.

"Closer." Y/n could hear the voices of JD's annoying friends. "Closer." they repeated until the two bodies hit each other.

"Don't open your eyes!" Veronica almost screamed.

"Okay. Hug the person in front of you." Kurt instructed.

So they did as they were told.

"Open your eyes." Ram instructed.

Y/n and JD were able to see color.

"What." They said at the same time.

"It worked!" Veronica said and started squealing.

"How is this possible?" Y/n thought out loud.

"Well, ever since I met you, I had hoped that it would work out." JD said.

Y/n pulled him in for another hug. The 2 lived happily ever after. Surprisingly.
