Chapter fifteen

We spent the rest of that afternoon in bed watching naff TV. The other boys came back one at a time and also had a gym session.
Both Anna and I had been truly spoilt whilst being here, we had sat and had a chat earlier, whilst Jason was working out. About how lucky we had been the last few days and what the future would hold...or were we just kidding ourselves??
Were we just tour flings to keep them warm at night??
We had decided to go back home tomorrow, I had a flat to sort out, and Anna had to go back to work....and ultimately I needed to find a job.
We had scraped by on Anna's wages for far too long now,it wasn't fair.
The thought of leaving Jason and Gaz made us really sad, so little time together yet we'd spent a lifetime as part of the TT family.
The chat I'd had with Mark really stuck in my mind, and when I had told Anna, she had also wept. I was hoping my leaving would not effect Gary at all and I instructed How and Mark to look after him for me. Mark knew I wasn't doing it to hurt him..he knew we had to go home.
And as Howie said, they were on the last leg of the tour anyway, so it wouldn't be long before we could see each other again anyway.

Anna and Jason were now officially a couple now, somehow I knew she wouldn't walk from this one! They had been Papped whilst out on their sightseeing trip. Jason said he could spot a photographer a mile off. Wonder what Paper or Mag it would be in??
Gary and I had to be slightly more careful, due to the events in his personal life, and I didn't want him hurt or hounded more than he was already.
So far no one knew we were seeing each other, and the longer it stayed that way the better!
The boys were due to have an interview on This Morning the next morning, so that's when we had decided to pack up our things...somehow we were going home with far more than we came with, due to the boys sharing all their gifts they had received from the fans. There were Choccies, Teddy's but the underwear was definately binned!!! Yuck!!

"Knock Knock!!" Shouted Mark through the door. Rapping his knuckle on the wood.
"Yeah?!" Gary shouted back.
"Is it safe to come in?" Mark was so thoughtful.
"Yes Mark..it is indeed!" Gary ok'd Mark to come in.
Mark entered our room baring 2 mugs of tea. Mark was a diamond...he looked after them all when on the road.
"Cheers Marky!!" Gaz said sitting up in bed taking his cup. Mark walked round and popped mine on the bedside table.
"Thanks Mark!" I smiled "bootiful!" I added making him smile.
"Awwww...Tis nothing!" He replied as he left the room.
Gary laid on his side and sipped his tea. "So you're going home tomorrow then?!" He sulked
"Yeah..I have to Babe, you know that" I said softly. "Besides the tour is nearly done, so it won't be long"
"Well as long as you know you don't have to go." He looked really sad.
"I can't let Anna sort the flat and go back to work....it wouldn't be fair..would it? Besides..I need to find a job!,"
There was an awkward silence.
"I can't believe all that has happened since Friday!!" He sulked
"Tell me about it...I never expected this in my wildest dreams! Well.....tell a lie!!! Lol"
I tried to lift the mood.
"It's all Anna's fault...she needed the wee!!"
He smiled..." Yeah! Thanks for that Mother Nature," he looked to the skies.
"What's gonna happen to us Babe?" A question that had been playing on my mind for days now.
"I'm really not sure, Babe, but let's take it a day at a time huh?!" He replied honestly

'Knock knock'...another knock on the door.
This time Jay entered straight away without waiting.
"Mate..." He held out the phone. "It's Julie!!" He looked serious.
[GOD WHAT DOES SHE WANT]
"What!" He spat down the phone.
He fell silent, all the colour drained from his face and his eyes welled up!
[ WHAT HAS SHE SAID NOW TO UPSET HIM LIKE THIS?!!]
Jason had hung around in the room ..as he kinda knew it was serious.

"OH MY GOD! Is she ok?..." He said sitting bolt upright in bed. Which I mirrored worried for him.
"Ok! I'm coming now!!" He said and hung up the phone. Staring into mid air...all he said was "Bex is in Hospital!" His children were his world...Becca was the eldest and had her daddy's eyes.
"OH MY GOD BABE!" I placed a hand on his shoulder.
I looked at Jason, his face said it all...but he remained composure for Gary's sake.
We both knew she wouldn't ring unless it was extremely serious.
"Mate!..."Jason said "Don't worry....just go!! Well sort things here."
Gary jumped out of bed and threw on some clothes. His Ex lived in East London so it wasn't far for him to get to quickly.
"I'll ring James...Jason said as he left the room.
"What about the show tomorrow!?" Gary paused in between shoving clothes into a bag
"Babe, we'll sort that when we know what's happening...don't worry! Just go.... Be with her," Poor Gary..Poor Becca...
"Jesus Mel....she's my Baby..." He was distraught.

God I hated Julie so much by doing what she did to Gaz, but my god...they made beautiful children.
Gary's mind was so preoccupied he just grabbed his bag and left...with no goodbye ...nothing.

Within seconds Anna entered the room..."jeeez..Mel! That's awful huh!" "Hope she's gonna be ok?"
"I'm sure she will...Gaz will let us know I'm sure"I remained positive.
"Wonder what will happen if he can't do the gig tomorrow? She pondered.
"Pass!"I shrugged. "Feels kind of weird being here now...like I'm intruding!"
Anna nodded "yeah..I was thinking the same. Her face saddened. "Got to get the flat sorted and iron my uniform!" She pouted "even though I don't wanna go, these past few days have been bliss with Jase and the boys. They are as nice as the persona they give out on tv. But I can't help feeling like when we leave the dream will end.
"Yeah....me too" I agreed. "But I haven't seen Very much of you at all over the weekend...you been hiding in that room of yours!!" I managed a chuckle.
She beamed from ear to ear...."I know!!! How cool is that??!!"

"Cool ...what's cool??" Jason had returned to the bedroom
"Oh...Hi Babe!, just saying to Mel about going home, and she said she hadn't seen much of me the whole weekend!! ...hahaha"
"Hey! ....don't give away all my secrets!!" He grinned himself as he and Anna exchanged looks.
"What will happen if Gaz isn't back for the show tomorrow?"
Jason was honest. "I honestly don't know yet...we've only had Dougie missing from a few gigs...but Gaz has a lot of vocals that no one else can reciprocate. Don't think we could do it without him.
"Geesh!! Do you know what's wrong with Becca?" I asked.
"Didn't Gaz say?" Jason looked puzzled. "No ..." I said....leaning over for a tissue
"Think I heard Fits mentioned, but I'm not sure." Jason's face dropped
"Oh God!!" "Oh My God!" Me and Anna said together.
