Chapter 18

Tris' P.O.V

If daydreaming was a job, I'd be an expert. Ballet class is a bore today. Why would Ms Mathews choose today, of all days, for us to learn about ballet history? I was in a really good mood this morning!!

The date last night was perfect. I had so much fun with Tobias! Climbing the Ferris wheel was exhilarating, the kids corner where we had a very passionate make out session, all of it was perfect. After we finished at the fair, Tobias took me out for dinner at a cute, little pizza restaurant. The food was so delicious and as Tobias was dropping me off... Lynn brought me out of my daydream, telling me the bell had rung. I didn't even notice.

Tobias and I walk side by side, holding hands, towards the cafeteria. A smile covers my face as I look at our entwined hands.
"Can I have a piggyback ride?" I ask like a little kid asking for candy.
"Of course babe." My smile spreads even wider, if that's even possible, as he says 'babe'.
I jump up onto his back and wrap my arms around him. He starts running towards the cafeteria as people around the hallway look at us weirdly.

Tobias told me to go sit down while he gets our lunch. He's such a gentleman!! I skip over to our table.
"Helloooo!!!" I sing to the gang.
"Why are you so happy all of a sudden. It's like you're high." Will comments.
"Ha ha." I deadpan and look around to see where Tobias is in the line.
"Oh I know why she's happy." Uriah smirks.
Tobias soon sits next to me as the gang continue their usual chatter. I lean my head on his shoulder.
"Oh my god! Please tell me you guys are finally together!" Shauna squeals, noticing our position.
"Yeah, it happened last night." Tobias smiles along with me. The gang congratulate us and tell us it's about time.

The gang and I wait for everyone to arrive at hip hop. Tori is already here, getting things ready.
"Hey Tori, guess what!" Christina squeals, in which we all cover our ears.
"What Chris?" Tori chuckles.
"Our ship sailed!!! Fourtris!!!" She squeals again. A wide smile makes its way onto Tori's face and she jumps up and down. I've never seen her so happy!!
"Yes! Congrats guys!!" She says to us.
Soon everyone arrives and we get started. We're split into boys and girls, groups of four to 6. We have to make up a group dance in 15 minutes and then show it to the class. I've never made a routine in this short amount of time. This will be really fun!!!

15 minutes later, we're done. That was hard. We chose a song that we have been really into lately, Despacito.
"First up Nita's group." I roll my eyes, I nearly forgot about Nita. She smirks at me as she walks to the middle of the room.
Most of the dance is highlighting her and none of the other girls. It's also messy and unorganised. I feel bad for the girls, they all have a lot of potential and are great dancers. It was Nita who was pushing them back. Tori gives them pointers, most of them directed towards Nita.
"Next we have Four's group." The gang whoops and cheers as their music starts.

The boys killed it!!! Their choreography was amazing!!! I hug Tobias as he sits back down.
"You were amazing!" I whisper in his ear.
"Think you can beat us?" He smirks back.
"Of course." I kiss his cheek and then listen to the critiques Tori gives them. Now it's our turn.
"Don't stare at me too much." I wink at Tobias and then walk away.

The girls' dance⬇️⬇️

The room fills with cat calls and wolf whistles. I chuckle as I walk back over to Tobias.
"Keeping my eyes off you was way too hard." He says. Tori gives us feedback, saying that our choreography was very creative for 15 minutes preparation.
Each group performs their routine. Everyone did really well in the short amount of time. The bell goes and we all race to our next class.

A yawn escapes my mouth. I didn't get much sleep last night, my mind was too pre occupied. Tobias dropped me off around 10 and I was up until 12:30 thinking about the wonderful time we had. I also text Tobias a couple of times.

It's good  having his bedroom right across from mine (don't get any ideas!). He told me, last night, if I ever had any bad dreams to just wake him up. I love how he has this tough front up, but really inside he's a teddy bear. We are so similar.
We've both had shit happen to us, we both have built walls to not let too many emotions through. It's crazy how in one second, a person could break those walls. It's also quite scary. I don't know where this relationship is going. Who knows if it will even last, I hope it does.

What if I let him in too far and then he breaks up with me? What if he decides he just doesn't want me anymore, and then goes and finds someone prettier and more perfect.
I really shouldn't be worrying about this, I trust him. That's all that matters.
Each day he builds that trust more and more. He really cares about me, I just have to keep remembering that.

Tobias and I lay on my bed, scrolling through Netflix. We finally decide to watch 'How To Be Single'. I've watched it before and love it. It's hilarious!
Tobias runs his fingers through my hair which makes me shiver with pleasure. I sigh in content. I love this.

Soon my eyes get heavy from the lack of sleep. I'm surprised I wasn't more tired earlier. I try to keep my eyes open but I'm so tired.
"Sleep baby." Tobias whispers and kisses my temple. My eyes close and I quickly fall into a deep sleep.
