Tris' P.O.V
There is nothing better than waking up in the arms of someone you love. It's truly one of the best feelings. Another beautiful thing is how the sun peeps through the blinds, inviting the hope of a day full of happiness.
Tobias' sleeping body lays next to me. He looks so peaceful while sleeping, younger. This morning reminds me of how lucky I am. Not everyone has the chance to do this. Some don't even find love, but I'm lucky to have found him.
I run my fingers softly down his cheek. To which he stirs and holds onto my waist tighter. His eyes flutter open and land on me, making him smile. That smile lights up the room even more. If I could just freeze this moment.
Now that I think of it Tobias and I are a pretty lucky couple. We haven't had any massive fights and we're very open with each other. I know that Tobias hasn't had the best life and that he has a lot of insecurities because of that. But I want to help him through that and continue loving him for as long as possible.
"Good morning gorgeous." Tobias' husky voice breaks me from my thoughts and makes me smile. I feel like this will be a good day. A happy one. Lately I haven't been having many of those.
"Morning handsome." I reply and bury my head into his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
"What are you thinking about?"
"How lucky we are. How lucky I am." Tobias pulls me closer, if that's even possible, and gives me a little kiss. "Thank you for helping me through these past months. I would not of gotten through them without you."
I wrap my arms his neck and lean in for another kiss. This one is slower but we pull away too soon and I'm left wanting more. I'm so glad it's Saturday, it means we get to spend more time together. I really want to ask Tobias a question but I'm afraid of the answer. Am I ready for that? Will mother even agree? What if Tobias gets hurt because of it?
Letting go of my racing thoughts, I get out of bed and go to the bathroom. Before I close the door I look over to Tobias and see that he's already looking at me.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Once I'm ready Tobias and I go downstairs, our stomachs rumbling. Mother is already standing in the kitchen when we get down. She's probably been awake for an hour or so. Mother has always been a morning person, unlike me. I'm a night owl.
"Morning mother. How was dinner?" Tobias and I fell asleep before mother returned home last night. I'm not sure about Uriah or Zeke, we didn't see either of them after Uriah left my room.
"It was lovely." Is all Mother replies with. I don't know much about Mother, she has always been quite reserved about her personal life. Some times that annoys me, all my friends seem to know so much about their families. Except for us.
I guess that also is because our father died before we grew up. Our little brains wouldn't even remember that much of what he told us. But I do know he didn't share that much either. Zeke, Uriah and I don't even know how our parents met.
Mother leaves the kitchen before I can say anything else. Why does she seem so antsy this morning? Usually she'll be in the kitchen, making her coffee when we come down, and then she will go watch the news or a show. Yet, this morning, she goes straight up back to her room. Maybe she's just a little tired from last night. I really shouldn't be jumping to conclusions.
"What would you like for breakfast." Tobias asks me, opening the fridge. I decide to have yogurt and strawberries, delicious.
Tobias and I eat in a comfortable silence. It's nice knowing we don't always have to talk to each other for it to be comfortable and not awkward. I thoroughly enjoy my breakfast, especially since I haven't been eating too healthy since my injury. I guess I was kind of drowning out my sadness with food. But I really do need to start eating healthy again if I want to be strong when I start walking and dancing again.
Zeke and Uriah come downstairs and start making their own breakfasts. Zeke's face seems brighter and his eyes are wide with excitement. His happiness seems to radiate around the room, making me happy.
"What's happened to make you so happy today Zeke?" Tobias asks, sensing his best friend's happiness and excitement.
"I finally asked Shauna on a date and she said yes! It's tonight!" Zeke practically yells with a massive smile across his face.
"Finally!!"
"My big bro finally grew some balls!"
"Good job bro." Tobias, Uriah and I all say in unison. I am so happy for him.
Zeke has liked Shauna for ages. He just hasn't been brave enough to ask her out. And of course the gang has tried to get them to confess their feelings for each other but it never really worked. Even though she never said anything, we all knew Shauna has a crush on Zeke. It was pretty obvious.
Zeke starts chatting about what the plan is for the date. All throughout his explanation we all listen intently. I sneakily text Shauna telling her that I always knew she liked Zeke and that I hope the date goes well.
From what Zeke has said the date seems pretty amazing. He has planned a picnic near a lake and then they are going to the zoo. Shauna loves animals so the zoo is the perfect choice. Plus she's been saying lately that she's been meaning to go with us but we have never got around to it. Maybe that's where Zeke got that idea from.
"Oh Tris, will you be able to help me choose my outfit for the date? You're the one with good fashion taste." Zeke asks me before Tobias and I go back to my bedroom. I know a lot of boys wouldn't want to ask anyone to help them with their outfits because that's considered not 'manly'. But Zeke is different. He actually cares about what he looks like and I can tell that this date means a lot to him.
"Of course. I'm happy to help."
Tobias and I decide to finish some homework so we don't have to do any tomorrow or last minute. Surprisingly we don't have that much homework do to, which I'm glad about. For dance classes the only homework for people who actually dance is to practice their dances and then for maths and English we only have to do a couple of worksheets.

I sit on Zeke's couch, waiting for him to come out of his bathroom. I think he's doing his hair but he should really do that after we choose his outfit.
"Okay lets get this outfit sorted." Zeke says once he's out of his bathroom.
We go into his wardrobe and start looking for clothes. This date is pretty casual so we don't want him in anything fancy but we also don't want to make it seem like he's just thrown on something.
I hand Zeke a pair of ripped black jeans and a maroon t-shirt. He puts them on and I have to say not too shabby on my part.
"Does it look alright?" Zeke asks nervously. Aw. I love how nervous he is, it shows that he really cares about this date and Shauna.
"You look very handsome Zeke. Shauna will love it." I smile as I watch him head downstairs and out the door. I hope the date goes well. It seems that mother is still in her bedroom. Why is she cooped up in there?
Tobias breaks me out of my trance, it seems as though he's been doing that a lot today. He has his bag strung over is shoulder and he looks a little upset.
"What's wrong babe?" I ask. Is he okay? What if something has happened? Why does he have his bag like he's ready to leave?
"Marcus ordered that I must come home tonight. He claims it's because he and Michelle miss me." He answers softly but scoffs at the end. I sadden at the news. Tobias has been staying almost every night. He hardly goes home at night and I'm the only person who knows why. Everyone just assumes he just wants to stay with me.
"Please be careful." I whisper and look down at my shoes. I hate the thought of that monster hurting him. I hate that Tobias has had to put up with it for so long.
Tobias gives me a kiss before he leaves. I'm afraid that he'll get hurt and because I'm on crutches I won't be able to help him. But all I really can do is hope that he'll be okay.
"Hey. Don't look so sad! It's just us two here we can do some twin bonding." Uriah comes out of nowhere and scares the living daylights out of me.
I'm glad Uri and I get to hang out. We haven't done it for a while and I have missed our time together. We head off into his room to play some video games.
I really hope Tobias is okay.
