Chapter nine:

Emma had to go home after dinner, so Daniel offered to take her home, I went along for the ride of course.

"Which way do I go to get to your house?" Daniel asked.

"You have to turn left off of your street, go straight until you get to the second set of lights, turn right, go straight until you reach the first set of lights, turn left and it's the first street on your right and it's the second house on that street," she said.

"A lot of lefts and rights," Daniel said.

"Yes it usually gets a lot of people lost," she said.

"I bet it does." He said. The rest of the ride was peaceful. Daniel had the radio turned on like he always does when we're going on a car ride. It took about twenty minutes to get to Emma's house I walked her to the door. Her dad opened the door as soon as she rang the doorbell.

"Hey sweetie come on in," he said.

"Hey dad," she said.

"Who's this?" He asked.

"I'm Abigail but I go by Abby for short," I said.

"It's very nice to meet you, I'm Adam," he said.

"It's nice to meet you as well," I said.

"I'm going to amuse that you'll be around here on and off," he said.

"I likely will be," I said.

"That's okay with me, I'm usually home on Mondays, and I'm home in the afternoons on Thursdays and Fridays," he said.

"Okay," I said.

"Well I'm going to amuse that your ride wants you to hurry up," he said.

"Nah my older brother doesn't care that much," I said.

"I still think that you should get going, but I hope I'll see you soon around here with Emma," he said.

"Okay I guess I'll see you soon," I said.

"Bye Abby," Emma said and gave me a hug.

"Bye Emma." I said and gave her a hug back. I quickly walked to the car and got in.

"So how was your first day?" He asked.

"Good," I said.

"That's good," he said.

"Yea it is, I'm kind of tired," I said.

"Okay well lets get you home," he said.

"Okay." I said. It felt like a shorter drive home than it was to get to Emma's house. When we got home I was happy to know that Steve was still at our house and hasn't left yet, which was a good thing because I hadn't really gotten the chance to talk to him all day and maybe now I'll get my chance.

Steve's p.o.v.

Abby went with Daniel to go and drop off her friend Emma at her house. Luckily I was able to stay here as long as I wanted to, so I stayed back at the house with Stephen and waited for Daniel and Abby to get back home. I feel like I haven't talked to Abby all day and I missed talking to her. So when she walked through the front door I walked towards her and held out my arms and she walked into them. It felt good to have her in my arms. Abby always accepted my hugs and stayed in my arms for as long as she wanted to and sometimes those hugs would last five minutes, but our cuddle time would last a half hour, well it did last week when she told me her life story and started to cry about half way into it and then just let the tears fall as soon as she was done her story.

"I missed talking with you today," I said.

"I missed talking with you as well today," she said.

"Would you like to go out Friday night?" I asked.

"I would love to go out with you on Friday night," she said.

"Okay. I was thinking we could go out to dinner, then maybe grab some ice cream and go for a walk around town," I said.

"You had me at dinner," she said.

"Good I can't wait," I said.

"I can't wait either." She said. I was happy that she said yes and Friday night will give us some time to get caught up with each other. I just hope that Stephen and Daniel will be okay with me dating their sister. I stayed at the Richter house until ten.

"I think I'm going to head out," I said.

"Okay see you tomorrow," Stephen and Daniel said.

"Yea I'll see you guys tomorrow," I said.

"I'll walk you out," Abby said.

"Okay." I said. We walked outside and stood on the front porch.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow," she said.

"How about I pick you up on the way to school tomorrow?" I asked.

"I'd like that very much," she said.

"Okay don't eat breakfast," I said.

"Why not?" She asked.

"I'm taking you to Starbucks on the way to school," I said.

"Okay," she said.

"I really should get home," I said.

"I wish you didn't have to go home yet," she said.

"So do I," I said.

"Well I guess this is goodbye until tomorrow," she said.

"Ya I guess it is," I said.

"Bye Steve," she said.

"Bye Abby," I said.

"Sleep tight," she said.

"Have sweet dreams," I said.

"Thanks you too," she said.

"I'm sure I will bye," I said.

"I'm positive you will and so will I bye." She said. I gave her a tight hug and kissed the top of her head. I waited until she was back inside before I started walking home. I honestly do hope that Daniel and Stephen won't mind me going on a date with their sister this Friday night. When I got home, I went upstairs and got ready for bed. That night I found myself thinking about Abby which brought a huge smile to my face, I have a feeling that Abby Richter will always be on my mind and I'm not going to complain about that.
