My bad life turned good

Chapter eleven:

It was finally lunch time, which meant that I would be able to see Steve, which will be great because I haven't seen him since first period. Emma and I walked to our lockers that way we could drop off whatever we didn't need for the rest of the day.

"Abby," I heard someone say, I turned around.

"Steve," I said as soon as I knew that it was him.

"I feel like we haven't seen each other in hours," he said.

"I know what you mean," I said.

"Do you want to hang out with me and the guys for lunch?" he asked.

"I would love to," I said.

"Emma your'e invited too," he said to Emma.

"Okay I'd love to hang out with Abby, you and the guys," she said.

"Okay we should likely get a move on, I told Stephen we wouldn't be too late," he said.

"Well then I think that we should hurry," I said.

"Okay let's go." he said. As Steve had predicted the guys were waiting for us.

"What took you three so long?" Stephen asked.

"Calm down bro Emma and I had to go to our lockers and then Steve came along and told us to hurry up because you guys were waiting for us," I said.

"Right well now that we're all here let's decide what we're going to do for lunch today," Daniel said.

"I thought you packed yourself a lunch today," I said.

"No, I had to finish my homework from last night, you know the homework that I didn't do and you reminded me about it this morning before you left," he said.

"I guess we have to call mom or we go out for lunch," I said.

"Or since Kyle, Dan, Stephen, you, Emma and I brought our own lunches we share with Daniel," Steve said.

"I like that idea," Daniel said.

"Okay I guess we're sharing our food with Daniel today," I said.

"Yay!" Daniel yelled.

"You sound like a little kid on Christmas morning," I pointed out.

"Hey I'm seventeen years old, am I not aloud to get excited when people offer me food?" he asked me.

"I never said that you couldn't be excited over the fact that we're offering food, I was just pointing out the fact that you sound like a little kid on Christmas morning," I said.

"Haven't you ever gotten excited over something like people offering you food?" he asked.

"Sure Iv'e gotten excited over things but not over a person or a group of people offering me food because that has never happened to me. I was excited when I found out that a new family wanted to adopt me, that way I could escape my terrible life and start a new better life, which so far has been the case of me living with you, Stephen and your parents," I said.

"See Daniel that's a reason to be excited," Steve said.

"Okay that's a far better reason than what mine was, but I will always get excited when a person or a group of people offers me food, but I will give them something in return for the food that theyv'e given me," he said.

"I would hope so, because that's the way that mom and dad have raised us to be," Stephen said.

"I know that's why I always make sure to pay people back when they lend me some money or when they give me some of their food," he said.
