Chapter nineteen:

Stephen's p.o.v.

Emma, Kyle, Dan, Daniel and I decided to go back to Abby's room at nine.

"She's fine, she's with Steve," I said to Emma, reassuring her that nothing had happened to Abby.

"How did you know what I was thinking?" Emma asked, as she stopped and looked at me.

"I could just sense that something was troubling you," I said.

"Isn't it troubling you too?" She asked.

"Of course it is, after all she's my sister," I said.

"You know you should just become a mind reader," she said.

"And forget about the band?" I asked.

"No don't forget about the band, it's just something for you to do on the side when you guys are on a touring break," she said.

"That's actually not such a bad idea," I said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yes really." I said. I must say that Emma is a real nice girl and I'm glad that she's best friends with Abby, it makes me happy.

After Emma and I finished up with our little chat, Daniel, Kyle and Dan came towards us and we started to walk towards Abby's room. Once we got to her door, I pushed it open. My jaw dropped, the other boys and Emma looked towards the bed. I noticed that Abby was cuddled up to Steve and that his arms were around her and that's when I knew for sure that nothing bad would ever happen to Abby, just as long as Steve was around. I could tell that the two of them really did like each other, and of course I was real happy for Steve.

"I think Steve found his princess," Daniel said.

"And I think Abby found her prince," I said.

"They're so cute just laying there," Kyle said.

"I think Steve is still awake," Dan said.

"Yes I'm still awake," Steve said.

"How was your little date?" Kyle asked.

"Very good," Steve said.

"That's good," Emma said.

"Yes yes it is, now why don't the five of you come in," he said.

"Of course." We said and walked into the room.

Abby's p.o.v.

*Sunday*

It's finally Sunday, the day that I'm able to go home. I originally wasn't supposed to go home until Monday which would be tomorrow, but because my blood test yesterday had good results, I was aloud to go home today, except I couldn't eat solid foods until Tuesday, so I could only eat soft foods, but at least I'm going home and I couldn't be more happier than that. My parents came and picked Daniel, Stephen, Emma, Steve and I up at around eleven in the morning, before I could go home though, my parents had to see my nurse and be told how to care for me and what kind of medicines I had to take and when. My parents came back into the room as soon as they were done.

"You ready to go home?" They asked.

"Yes I'm ready," I said.

"Okay let's go." They said. Steve took my hand. Daniel and Stephen helped by taking my bags with them. Emma had her own stuff to carry with her. Dan and Kyle also had their own things to carry with them.

"Emma if you want you can stay at our house for the afternoon," my parents said.

"Thanks, I'll just let my dad know," she said.

"Okay." They said. Once Emma got her answer she said that she could come over. Of course Dan, Kyle and Steve were able to come over whenever they pleased, so that met that they would be able to come over for the afternoon. We walked outside to the parking lot, I have to say that it felt nice to be outside, I mean I haven't been outside for about four days. We got to the car and Steve opened my door and helped me get in, before sliding in beside me, Emma sat in the back, between Stephen and Daniel. For the whole way home, I had my hand in Steve's hand the whole ride.

About ten minutes later we pulled into the driveway, Steve got out of the van first and then came over to my side and helped me. We held hands while walking towards the front door, Stephen had the keys with him and opened the door.

When I walked inside, a cold breeze hit me in the face, just like the first time I walked through the front door, it felt nice against my hot skin and it really helped to cool me down.

"Do you want anything to drink?" Steve asked me as he made his way towards the kitchen.

"Some cold water would be nice," I said.

"Awe you're hot that's why you want cold water," he said.

"Haha yes that's why I want some cold water," I said in a small voice.

"Okay I'll get you that water," he said.

"Thanks." I said. I walked towards the living room and stopped to look around, gosh I really did miss this place when I was stuck in the hospital. After looking around for a good five minutes I finally decided to sit down on the coach, I grabbed a pillow and hugged it to my chest. About two minutes later Steve was beside me, he set my water glass down on the table and put his arm around me.

"Thanks Steve for the past few days," I said.

"You're welcome, but I don't think I did much," he said.

"Believe me you did, you saved my life and stayed by my side the whole time that I was in the hospital ," I said.

"Abby you're a fighter, I mean you've been through so much and you just proved that even though you had or still have cancer that you're one of the strongest people that I know," he said.

"Thanks." I said. I reached forward and took my glass of water and started to take small sips of it, it felt nice to have some good water, I mean the water at the hospital wasn't the best thing in the world to drink, I only drunk it because sometimes I had to. After I finished my water I put it back on the table, and put my head on Steve's chest, he rubbed my back and I fell asleep to the sound of his heart beating.
