Chapter thirty four

*Kyle's p.o.v.*

"Steve," I said as I walked over and sat down beside him.

"Kyle," he said.

"I need to talk to you," I said.

"About what?" He asked.

"A girl," I said.

"Okay go ahead I'm listening," he said.

"Okay well I kind of like someone but I'm not sure if she feels the same way about me," I said.

"Who is it?" He asked.

"It's Emma," I said.

"I think they she likes you as well," he said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes and it looks like she's talking to Abby about liking you," he said.

"Do you think it would work between the two of us though?" I asked.

"Yes I believe that it would but its really up to the two of you to try it out and see if it works," he said.

"When?" I asked.

"Well you could ask her out to dinner sometime and you guys could see how it goes," he said.

"Would you come with us?" I asked.

"I would only come with you guys if Abby could come along as well," he said.

"Of course Abby can come along I mean she's your girlfriend after all and she's best friends with Emma," I said.

"Okay I suppose that we'll come along with you guys but we're not sitting together," he said.

"Okay just as long as you two are there," I said.

"Which we will be," he said.

"Okay well I'm gonna go and talk to Emma," I said.

"Okay." He said. I walked over towards where Emma and Abby were.

"Hey Abby could I speak to Emma?" I asked.

"Hey Kyle of course you can," she said.

"Okay thank you," I said.

"You're welcome and I already know what this is about," she said as she walked away to where Steve was and sat down beside him.

"So Emma," I said smiling.

"So Kyle," she said returning the smile.

"I was wondering if you would like to go out with me?" I asked.

"I'd love to go out with you," she said.

"Does tomorrow while we're in British Columbia work for us to go out for dinner?" I asked.

"Yes," she said.

"Awesome," I said than asked, "would it be okay with you if Abby and Steve come along on our date as well?"

"Of course, I already asked Abby when I was talking with her," she said.

"And I asked Steve when I was talking with him, except he said that they won't sit at the same table with us, but they will be near by," I said.

"That works that way they will be there with us," she said.

"This will be my first date," I said.

"Mine too," she said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes, you know Kyle I've been asked out a few times before but I always said no because I was waiting for the right person someone I know will care about me and someone who I'm able to be myself around," she said.

"Well you can be yourself around me," I said.

"What about you?" She asked, than said, "Clearly other girls must like you as well,"

"Yes other girls have liked me but those girls aren't the type of girls that I would want to be in a relationship with," I said.

"Why's that?" She asked.

"Because they preferred to go to parties and I prefer to be able to have a nice relaxing evening with my girlfriend or go out to dinner with her and than cuddle up on the couch at her house or at my house and watch movies," I said.

"And also you likely want some down time especially after a band practice or a show," she said, than said, "and you would want to be dating someone who understands just how busy it is to be in a band and still have time with your family and your friends and your girlfriend,"

"Exactly so I'd rather be with someone who understands all of that especially the fact that when you're in a band you don't really get to spend a lot of time with your family and sometimes when you're not busy and have downtime you'd love to be able to spend that time with family," I said.

"Which I understand and I wouldn't try and stop you from having time with your family or even talking to the fans of eleven past one because I know that the fans mean a lot to you guys as well as your family," she said.

"This is why I like you because you understand these certain things," I said.

"I also understand them because Abby is dating Steve and sometimes they don't spend time with each other because he's spending time with his family and she understands why," she said.

"Yes she does and that's why Steve enjoys dating her and that's also why Stephen and Daniel like her as their sister and also the reason why Dan and I like her as well because she understands what it takes to be in a band and so do you and Hanna and Rebecca," I said.

"Well I'm glad that I've gotten to know you and the rest of the band because of Abby," she said.

"We never knew each other before this year?" I asked.

"No we never did I mean we saw each other in the hallways and had some classes with each other but we never talked," she said.

"Oh yeah I remember that, but we talk to each other now and the rest of the band talks to you as well which is a good thing and I'm glad that we do," I said.

"I'm glad too," she said.

"Shall we sit with each other for the rest of the ride to British Colombia?" I asked.

"We shall." She said. After she said that she sat down beside me. I'm really happy that I admitted that I like Emma and that she feels the same way that I do. I really enjoy talking to her and getting to know her. I can't wait until our date tomorrow night.
