Chapter four:

It was a pretty long drive to the Richter house, they lived in Bowmanville Ontario, which was about forty minutes outside of Toronto. At least I knew that I would be far away from the Baxter family, which caused me to become even more happy. It felt good that I had told Daniel and Stephen about what had happened to me, I was happy that they wanted to hear what had happened to me and actually listened to me. I started to yawn.

"Someone has had a long day," Stephen said.

"Yes I have," I said.

"You know you can take a nap Daniel or I will wake you up when we get to the house," he said.

"Okay." I said. I curled up in the very back of the van on the seat and fell asleep. I must've been out for a while because the next thing I knew was that Daniel was waking me up.

"I'm awake," I said.

"I'll carry you inside," he said.

"But what about my things?" I asked.

"That's okay Stephen, mom and dad will take them inside," he said.

"Okay." I said. I drifted off back to sleep in Daniels arms. I had to admit that it felt nice to be carried around seeing as the last time I was ever carried somewhere was when I was ten years old, and that was by my dad after I had twisted my ankle and was crying in pain. When we got inside the house I felt cold air hit my face which was nice because I was kind of warm. Stephen, Daniel and my new parents took my things upstairs to my room. My new mom came downstairs, her name is Megan.

"Abby," she said.

"Yes Megan?"I asked.

"Sweetie you can call me mom if you want," she said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Of course. You're my daughter now aren't you?" She asked.

"Yes I am," I said.

"Anyways would you like to see your room?" She asked.

"I'd love to see my room," I said.

"Okay let's go." She said. She took me upstairs to my room where Stephen, Daniel and my new dad named Rick were putting some of my things away.

"What do you think?" The four of them all asked me.

"I love it!" I yelled as I hugged all four of them.

"Good because this will forever be your room until you move out of this house and get married," Rick said.

"Well I guess it's a good thing that I love it isn't it Rick?" I asked.

"Yes it is. And Abby please call me dad," he said.

"Okay thanks dad, thanks mom, and thanks Daniel and Stephen," I said.

"You're welcome Abby." They all said. I really loved my new family and the best part was that they made me feel like a big part of their family. Daniel and Stephen made a connection with me back at the child services home by talking to me and asking me about my life and listening to me talk. My new parents have made me feel like family just by talking to me the way that my real parents had before they passed away.

Daniel's p.o.v.

I'm really happy that mom and dad decided to adopt Abby. So happy that Stephen and I can't wait to introduce her to the rest of the band.

"I think we should tomorrow," I said.

"Are you sure about that?" Stephen asked.

"Yes I'm sure about it," I said.

"Okay just as long as you're sure about it," he said.

"I am," I said.

"Okay well we should at least call them and tell them to come over tomorrow," he said.

"Yes we'll do that right now," I said.

"Let's just do it as a group call," he said.

"I like that idea," I said.

"Okay." He said. Stephen called Steve on his phone, I called Kyle on my phone and we called Dan on the house phone. They all answered their phones at the same time.

"Boys we need to get together tomorrow," I said.

"Who's house?" Dan asked.

"Our house," Stephen said.

"What's going on tomorrow?" Steve asked.

"Well we went with our parents today and adopted a girl named Abby and we want you guys to meet her," I said.

"Is she around our age or younger?" Kyle asked.

"She's sixteen so she'll be going to the same school as us," Stephen said.

"Awesome can't wait to meet her," Steve said.

"I'll be there," Dan said.

"I'll be there to," Kyle said.

"Okay." We said. We said bye and hung up the phone.
