Chapter forty four:

*Emma's p.o.v.*

I woke up the next morning to the smell of pancakes. I got out of bed and quickly got dressed and walked into the family room. I found Abby sitting down in a chair starring out the window, Amy was watching something on TV, Hanna was looking through a magazine, Rebecca was sorting through a box of things, Camm was sitting in the chair beside Abby, Pat was looking off into the distance thinking about something, Marty and Diggy were talking about something, Bucky and Tyler were sitting down and talking about something, Kyle was eating a slice of pizza (it's like eight in the morning), Daniel was making himself a tea of some type, Dan was playing a video game on his laptop and Stephen was in the kitchen making pancakes. It wasn't a very loud morning.

"What's up with everyone this morning?" I asked, sitting down next to Amy.

"Oh good morning Emma," they said.

"You guys look miserable this morning," I said.

"Yeah well we have to be at the hospital in under an hour," Stephen said.

"I know that," I said.

"Not to mention something is very wrong with Abby," Daniel said.

"What's wrong with Abby?" I asked.

"Not only is she upset that Steve is in the hospital, she's also hungover this morning," Kyle said, finishing his slice of pizza.

"She's never had anything to drink though," I said.

"What do you think was in that metal container that she was drinking out of last night?" Stephen asked.

"I don't know pop of some kind," I said.

"That's what we all thought, turned out that it wasn't though," Dan said, looking up from his video game.

"So what was it?" I asked.

"Beer from the beer store," Pat said.

"How'd she get beer from the beer store, she's underage and so are her brothers and their band and her friends," I said.

"Yes but no one from down with webster is underage," Stephen said.

"So it was one of them?" I asked.

"Yes, it was one of us," Marty said.

"Who?" I asked.

"It was me," Camm said.

"But don't get mad at him please," Abby said, than added on, "I was sick and tired of feeling like it was my fault that Steve got hit by that car or that van and I wanted to forget about it, so on the way to go and get dinner Camm and I passed by the beer store and I asked him if he would buy me a beer, at first he said no and that I was underage and than I reminded him that he wasn't underage and that he could buy me just one beer and he agreed, so if you guys want to be mad at someone be mad at me, not at Camm or anyone else,"

"Abby we're not going to get mad at you, you had a rough day and wanted to try your hardest to get over it, and you did it by asking Camm to buy you a drink, trust me if any of us went through what you've been through, we likely would've done the same thing, so it's okay and plead don't beat yourself up over this, because it's not your fault," Stephen said.

"You can say that all you want, but it won't change anything, I'll still feel like this is all my fault," Abby said.

"Okay Abby we won't say it anymore, we'll just keep it to ourselves," Daniel said.

"Thanks," she said.

"You're welcome." They said. Last night I guess I should've figured out that something was wrong with Abby when she ran into the bathroom and when Camm went to go and knock on the door, and than when he came back out a few minutes later carrying Abby in his arms. That should've been enough to tell both bands, and to tell the girls and I that something was really wrong with Abby and that she was hurting really badly. My best friend really hasn't been herself at all since yesterday afternoon. I just hope that Steve gets better soon and is able to come out of the hospital soon, simply because I need my best friend back and I need to be able to talk to her, without her saying that what happened to Steve yesterday evening was all her fault, it's not her fault no matter how many times she claims that it is her fault, it's not.

*Steve's p.o.v.*

The door to my hospital room opened at around ten and in walked Abby, Hanna, Rebecca, Amy, Emma, Kyle, Dan, Daniel, Stephen, Camm, Pat, Marty, Tyler, Diggy and Bucky. I was really glad that they came by. Mostly because I really missed them. Abby walked over to the side of my bed and hugged me, when we broke apart from our hug, I noticed that her eyes were bloodshot and that her face was paler than normal.

"What happened to you?" I asked.

"I got drunk last night," she said.

"Why?" I asked.

"I wanted to get my mind off of things and I was sick and tired of feeling like you being in the hospital was my fault, so I asked Camm to take me to the beer store on our way to get dinner and he did, and I had the bottle of beer and it did help me forget things that had happened yesterday evening," she said.

"How do you feel now?" I asked.

"Terrible. I threw up last night, had a headache last night, couldn't sleep and I woke up much to early this morning, so pretty shitty," she said.

"Let me guess you won't be drinking again for a long time," I guessed.

"Yeah I won't be drinking again until I'm nineteen," she said.

"You know the doctors said that I'll be out of here later today or tomorrow," I said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yes I don't have any broken bones, so I'm lucky that way, I just lost a lot of blood," I said.

"Wow you really are lucky that way," she said.

"Yeah so I should be good to go on tour next week," I said.

"Yes!!" Everyone yelled.

"That's awesome," Abby said hugging me again and than kissing me on the lips, I kissed her back and hugged her once more.

"Yeah and by tonight or tomorrow I'll be back in the rv with all of you," I said, than added on, "and Camm won't have to buy anymore beer for my girlfriend,"

"I wasn't planing on it, I told her last night that that would be the first and the last time that I would buy her a beer," he said.

"Good." I said. I could tell that all of them were really happy that I would be coming back to the rv either today or tomorrow. A few minutes later my doctor walked into the room.

"Okay Abby, Emma, Hanna, Rebecca, Amy, the guys of eleven past one and the guys of down with webster, it's official Steve will be able to go back to the rv today," my doctor said.

"Awesome," I said.

"When?" Abby asked.

"Can you guys wait a half hour?" He asked them.

"Yes," they said.

"Okay." He said. As soon as he left, I breathed a sigh of relieve. Now I get to go back to the life of a rockstar, I missed that life all of last night and most of today. I looked around at everyone, they were all smiling. It turns out that I really am lucky, cause most people would break an arm or a leg and have blood loss. But not me, I just had to go through blood loss, which when you think about it isn't that bad, I guess I now know how Abby felt when she was ten and I was in the hospital over night after the car crash, Abby was very lucky that she survived and doesn't suffer from any damage, just those nightmares on the day when her parents both passed away right in front of her. When Abby found out that I would be able to go back to the rv she was really happy and she hugged me again and I held her really tight in my arms. I just loved her she fit so perfectly in my arms and how she always smiled when I held her in my arms, I still remember the first time that I met her and how happy she was to meet me. I also remember how glad she was that I was in the hospital with her by her side while she was stuck in the hospital with cancer for the second time and how much she just wanted me to hold her, I smile at those memories and I'm glad that I'm not really hurt and that I'm still alive because Abby needs me in her life and I need her in my life, that girl is my everything and I know that I'm her everything. I'm also glad that she had Camm by her side yesterday evening to comfort her, I really am grateful for that and I know that she's rally grateful for him being there for her last night as well.
