Chapter ten:
I woke up much too early the next morning. I had to take a shower, get dressed, pack my bag and be ready to leave by seven, because Steve was coming to pick me up and take me to Starbucks before school today. I was ready at about 6:30 and went downstairs. Stephen and Daniel came downstairs a few minutes later.
"What did you have for breakfast?" Daniel asked.
"Nothing yet," I said.
"Why not?" He asked.
"I'm going out for breakfast with Steve before school," I said.
"Oh well have fun sis," he said.
"Have fun with what?" Stephen asked once he sat down with his breakfast.
"Abby has a little breakfast date before school today," Daniel said.
"It's a guy we both know right?" Stephen asked.
"No it's a complete stranger that I met at school yesterday, of course it's someone you know," I said.
"Someone woke up in a sarcastic mood today," he said.
"Well thank you captain obvious for pointing that out," I said.
"Really who are you going out with for breakfast?" He asked.
"Steve and I also have a date with him this Friday night," I said.
"I guess I approve of the two of you dating," he said.
"I hope you do because I already said that I'd go out with him on Friday night and it would be a shame to cancel on him," I said.
"Right well just have a great breakfast. What time is he picking you up at?" He asked.
"Seven," I said.
"That's why you're up early," he said.
"Yea I had to wake up before you and Daniel because if I didn't I wouldn't be ready on time," I said looking at Daniel.
"Are you implying that I take to long to get ready in the morning?" Daniel asked when he noticed that I was looking at him.
"Yea and don't deny it because it's true," I said.
"You've lived here for how many days?" He asked.
"About five," I said.
"Right well I'll see you at school sis I love you," he said as he gave me a hug.
"I'll see you at school bro and I love you too. I'm guessing someone didn't do his homework last night and is going to do it this morning before school," I said, as I hugged him back.
"Of course I did my homework I'm just going to go get my school stuff," he said.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night Daniel!" I yelled.
"It will help me sleep at night Abby!" He yelled on his way upstairs. Soon it was just Stephen and I in the kitchen.
"He so didn't do his homework did he?" I asked.
"Nope that's how his voice sounds when he hasn't finished his homework," he said.
"I'll remember that," I said.
"Okay," he said.
"I should go outside and wait for Steve," I said.
"Alright bye sis have a good breakfast and I'll see you at school," he said as he hugged me.
"Bye bro I'll see you at school as well," I said.
"I sure hope so," he said.
"I will bye I love you," I said.
"Bye love you too." He said. Daniel, Stephen and I likely say we love you to each other much more than other siblings say that they love each other to each other. I've only been living with the Richter family for five days and I already feel like I'm a big part of their family, I'm really glad that they decided to adopt me. Also I'm glad that I met a friend like Emma on my first day of school at Bowmanville High School. Steve showed up right on time. We each ordered a pastry and a chai tea latte and were on our way to school. We made it to school with about five minutes before first period.
"Abby!" Someone yelled.
"Emma!" I yelled.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," she said.
"So Steve I guess I'll see you in about five," I said.
"Yes yes you will Abby," he said as he gave me a quick hug and said bye to Emma as well.
"You totally have a crush on him," she said.
"I do actually, he's my brothers best friend," I said.
"Which brother?" She asked.
"He's more so Stephens best friend but because he's in a band with both my brothers he's pretty close with Daniel as well," I said.
"You're really lucky," she said.
"What makes you think that?" I asked.
"The fact that you have two brothers and you're friends with their friends as well," she said.
"Actually I'm only friends with their band mates," I said.
"Oh well you're still lucky," she said.
"I'm sure you're lucky too," I said.
"Yes I guess I am." She said. We started to walk towards our English class. We took our seats at the back of the room, I was in the middle which met that Steve was on one side of me and Emma was on my other side. Like yesterday's morning classes today's morning classes went by fast, with no homework at all in any of my classes.

Steve's p.o.v.
"Steve!" My teacher Mr.Roberts yelled at me for the second time in my fitness/upper body class.
"Yes Mr.Roberts?" I asked.
"Focus!!" He yelled.
"Yes sir." I simply said. I'll admit that I haven't been focusing much in any of my classes because my mind keeps thinking about Abby, but I can't help it.
"Dude stop thinking about my sister," Stephen said as he took his place beside me.
"What makes you think that I'm thinking about Abby?" I asked.
"Oh please you never smile in this class so clearly you're thinking about something that makes you happy, which just so happens to be my sister," he said.
"Okay fine I'm thinking about her," I said.
"That's okay you'll get to see her after this class," he said.
"I can't wait," I said.
"Okay well let's get back to work," he said.
"Alright." I said. Finally about five hours later or what felt like five hours later class was done and I was only about five minutes away from seeing Abby and being able to talk to her for the whole lunch time, which would be nice and enjoyable.
