Chapter twenty six:

*Stepens p.o.v.*

"How do you think Abby's doing?" Daniel asked me.

"I think she's doing good," I said.

"Do you think we should call her later?" he asked.

"I actually think that would be a good idea, maybe when we get home," I said.

"Okay." He said. Right now, Daniel and I along with our parents were out shopping for a few things. Abby had gone over to Steve's house a few hours ago. Steve and her really like each other, you can tell just by the way that they look at each other, it's really cute. Daniel and I both know along with our parents that whenever Abby's with Steve she's safe and out of danger. A few weeks ago was when Abby came to live with us and about a week later was when her cancer came back and that was the time that Steve had saved her life and now our parents along with Daniel and I always know that Abby is safe whenever she's with Steve, plus we already know that Steve would do anything to protect Abby and make sure that she's safe. Steve is Abbys first boyfriend and Abby is Steves first girlfriend, I mean Steve has liked other girls before Abby but he has never dated any of those other girls because he felt like waiting for the right girl to come along, a girl that he could be himself around, a girl that would accept it and put up with it and also a girl that likes him for him, not because he's in a band and well known and liked by others.

"We have everything that we need," our parents said walking towards the cash.

"Okay." Daniel and I said. After everything was paid for we walked outside and to the car and were on our way home. We got home about ten minutes later and unpacked the food and than Daniel and I went upstairs to my room to call Abby.Her phone rang about five or six times before she picked it up.

"Hello," she said than added on, "Stephen,"

"How did you know it was me?" I asked.

"Because you tend to call me more from your phone than Daniel calls me from his phone," she said.

"True I guess I do," I said.

"You do but it's okay," she said.

"Hey sis," Daniel said.

"Hey bro," she said.

"How's it going?" He asked.

"Very good thanks," she said, than asked, "How about you guys?"

"Good as of right now," I said.

"I'm doing good," Daniel said.

"That's good," she said.

"So how's it going helping Steve look after his cousins?" I asked.

"It's going good, his two cousins are real sweet and real nice," she said.

"What are their names?" Daniel asked.

"Maddie and Anna, and before you guys ask they do know about the two of you, I think Maddie knows a bit more becuse she's older and understands a bit more than Anna does, but they're both sweet and both lovely and kind," she said.

"Sounds like it," I said.

"They are, you guys would like them," she said.

"I'm sure we would," I said.

"How about sign a picture of us and give it to them tomorrow?" Daniel asked.

"As long as it's two pictures that way they both have their own copy," she said.

"Okay we'll do that," I said.

"Okay, well I should go I promised Steve that I would go for a walk with him, the dogs and his cousins," she said.
