So this isn't really going to be a rant about whether it should be legalized because everyone has their opinions.
But to start out I believe it should be and used with discretion whether medically or recreational.
I do believe there is a such thing as smoking too much and although marijuana itself doesn't have addicting properties people can be addicted and too dependent on it.
Now that all that is out the way I'm going to talk about what I intended on talking about.
So as weed is becoming more and more legalized around the US and not just for medical use why is no one talking about the thousands of people still imprisoned on charges of possession of marijuana.
I don't know if there is some type of grandfather clause when it comes to laws changing but if a state passes a law for the usage of recreational marijuana why should they have to do time for something that is now accepted.
Even if they do still have to stay in prison the charges should at least be removed from their record for the fact that it is now legal.
Now this will not change for people who had over the alloted amount and are tried for distribution or supplying because a drug dealer is a drug dealer and that's a whole nother set of laws with dispensary and stuff.
But as I here about more and more states begin to legalize it it just got me thinking about that.
What's your opinion on this let me know if I'm asking for too much
