Alright I've waited to write this rant because I'm finna zayn the shit out this.
If you don't know what CA is its basically the adoption of another's person culture or religion.
It's more of a refrence of making it look bad. First I'm going to start with the black side.
Okay when you see these white girls wearing corn rows or box braid that's CA
when you see models wearing dashikis and bindis that's CA
When white people use "slang" terms more common in the African American community that's CA .
It's not just white people who do it. Other can do it too. Like even me.
I have respect for all and I don't won't to be disrespectful.
I am a percentage Pacific islander but it's not very prevelant and has not been exercised when growing up and I kind of want to buy a kimono but don't won't to offend others.
But let's talk about CULTURAL APPROPRIATION that I see everyday that I feel is being blown over
It the culture appropriation of Jamaica
Like I see this shit all the time. With blacks, whites, hispanics.
Like it irks my nerves. Like what the fuck.
So let's just start with the fuck dreads. Dreads were a symbol of a rasta farian culture and how religiously they did not believe in cutting their hair
Now I see every little black walking around with them cause they wanna be a little thug. Na Na that's not how it works.
Next you got the miss interpretation of my countries colours.
Like you see these white kids walking around with Bob Marley shirts on and aunt even heard a song
I beat you 90% of y'all think that jamaican flag colours are green, yellow and red
Well that's wrong it just green and black.
Next you've got those little poncho things. Like bitch they don't be walking around in Jamaica Like that's not even a thing. That's something I see here in the states
Then it's our music everyone wants to sing raggae like damn we got enough there we don't need any white people try na burst in the scene.
Finally marjauna. Alright I get it all Jamaicans do is smoke and sing everything's gonna be alright.
