Chapter 1 ~ A place to preform

Trixie Lulamoon had been going from place to place. Preforming everywhere. Being adored by ponies. It was the life she had always wanted. But then a certain pony just had to go and ruin it all. Twilight Sparkle. First she showed Trixie up. Which reveled her to be a fraud. Life got hard for Trixie after that. She eventually had to go and work on a rock farm. During all that time, anger built up inside her. She wanted revenge.

She learned about the alicorn amulet. She wanted it. She knew she could use it to get back at Twilight. And once she got her hooves on it, she went straight to ponyville. She had showed Twilight that she was the powerful one now. But she didn't stop there. She banished Twilight from ponyville. She took control of it. Trapping the people that lived there to do as she said. Her mind got corrupted. But Twilight didn't go down without a fight. She challenged Trixie to another magic duel. With cleaver thinking, they stopped Trixie. After that, everybody hated Trixie. No one ever went to her shows. No on ever wanted to talk to her. Even though she apologized, they wouldn't forgive her. And word got around about what she did.

Though she apologized and acted like she had changed. Really, on the inside, she was still filled with anger. But she tried to hide it. Right now her main concern was redeeming her name. She was tired of the glares ponies gave her. Them constantly whispering about her. They started to get to her.

Trixie had decided to try some new far places. Towns that had never heard of her or what she had done. So far she wasn't having much luck. But Trixie wasn't gonna give up. She decided to keep going farther and farther away. Taking the train to places she hadn't even heard of. She got lost a lot. But she knew it would be worth it in the end.

Trixie was riding the train like usual. Seeing where it would take her. She had been trying to plan out some new tricks she could do. Suddenly, the train came to a stop. She noticed she was the only one on it. She looked out the window and saw she was in the middle of no where. But it was as far as the train would go. She decided to travel on hoof. Trixie got up and walked off the train. It took her a while to get her wagon out, but eventually she did. She started walking as the train went backwards.

She had traveled far. But she wasn't seeing anything. She was starting to think this was a mistake. Just as she was starting to give up, she saw something. It looked like houses. A town, Trixie thought in excitement. It was small and far from everything. Chances were that no one there had heard of her. She quickly walked over to it. She left the wagon not to far from the town and continued walking. As she got closer, she noticed something was weird. They were all smiling. But it didn't look right. Also, almost all their mane styles were the same. She decided to just shrug it off and keep walking.

As she was walking into the town, she noticed their cutie marks. They were all grey equal signs. She stopped. But by now everybody had noticed her. They were all starring. She knew there was no going back now. So she continued to walk. Everybody said "welcome" as she walked by them. She forced a smile and waved as she walked. Looking forward, she saw a white stallion with grey hair. He was heading in her direction.

"Welcome," the white stallion said as he approached her.

"Um, hi," said Trixie, narrowing her eyes.

"I'm Double Diamond. Welcome to our village."

"I'm the great and powerful Trixie!" Trixie put emphasis on the 'great' and 'powerful' part. "Maybe you've heard of me?"

"Hmm. Nope. But it's great to meet you! And what an... interesting... cutie mark."

"Um... yeah." Trixie didn't like the vibes this guy was giving off. Something wasn't right. "Anyways, the great and powerful Trixie has traveled all this way to find a place to preform."

"Oh. Why don't you discuss that with our founder, Starlight Glimmer?"

"Uh, okay."

Double Diamond lead the way to a house that wasn't in a row with the others. He opened the door. Trixie walked in.

"Starlight, you have a visitor." A lilac pony opened the door and stepped forward.

"Welcome," Starlight greeted. She walked forward and stopped in front of Trixie. Trixie immediately noticed her mane. It was different from the rest. It was a dark purple with a streak of a lighter purple and a light blue. But that's not what was different. Instead of her mane being in a braid or being straight, it was curved. Trixie looked at her cutie mark, expecting that to be different as well. But it was an equal sign just like the rest of the village. "I'm Starlight Glimmer. And you are?" Trixie got a bad feeling. She didn't want to tell the pony her name, but couldn't think of an excuse not to.

"I'm the great and powerful Trixie! I was looking for a place to perform my magic act. I accidentally came across this village and decided to check it out."

"Oh." Starlight seemed interested. She was looking quite intensely at Trixie. Trixie didn't feel comfortably being in the same room as her. It was then that she noticed Double Diamond had left.

"So, what's with your all cutie marks? And the creepy smiles?"

"Well, we don't have special talents here."

"What?"

"Hmm. Would you like a tour of the town?"

"Uh, sure. But I still want answers." Starlight opened the door and lead the way. Trixie followed.
