Trixie and Starlight walked into the cottage. Trixie gave Starlight a worried expression. Starlight waited till they got upstairs.

"Trixie," Starlight started. "I... don't want you talking to the other ponies in the town." Trixie raised an eyebrow.

"What," Trixie asked. "Why?" Starlight sighed. She had two choices. Threat Trixie or lie. She quickly thought one up.

"I fear... something is going on. They seem a bit more secretive than usual. You don't know what it's about, do you?" Trixie shook her head. "Hmm... well, Double Diamond disappeared. And those two ponies have been giving me weird looks lately."

"What if I spy for you? I'll find out what's going on. Then I'll-"

"No."

"What?"

"I don't want to take a chance of-" Starlight stopped. She almost told Trixie her true intentions.

"Of what?"

"O-of... you getting hurt. You don't know what they're capable of."

"Do you really think they'll hurt?"

"Yes... and I don't want that to happen." Starlight looked away, trying to hide her smile. She was relieved that Trixie was buying this. Trixie sighed.

"Okay. I'll stay away from them."

"Thank you." Starlight gave a sad smile.

...

Later that night, Starlight asked Party Favor and Night Glider to meet her by the cave where their cutie marks were stored. The two were a bit nervous, but went anyways. When they got there, Starlight knocked them out with the staff. She dragged them off to an unstable cave and left them inside. Then made the cave collapse.

...

Two weeks went by. Starlight and Trixie spent almost all of that time together. Whenever they weren't, Trixie would stay in the house as Starlight dealt with some things. Trixie hadn't left the cottage once for those two weeks. It bothered her but she didn't say anything.

One day, after Starlight finished her mysterious things, she told Trixie to follow her. Relieved to finally be able to go outside, she followed. The two went up a hill. They could see the whole town from up there. On top of the hill was a blanket with food on it. Trixie was surprised.

"I though maybe having a picnic could be fun," Starlight said.

"The two ate and talked. Neither Trixie nor Starlight wanted this to end. They watched the sunset. Starlight took a deep breath. She was going to tell Trixie how she felt.

"Trixie," Starlight started. "I have something I want to tell you."

"What is it," Trixie asked.

"I-" Before she could finish her sentence, a pony ran up to them.

"Starlight, come quick," the pony yelled. Trixie and Starlight looked at each other before running down the hill.
