Trixie woke up to see, once again, that Starlight's hoof was around her. Trixie had gotten use to it at this point. The second Starlight realized Trixie was awake, she got up.
"Great, your awake," said Starlight. "I need to show you something."
Starlight grabbed the bag Trixie had seen the other day. But before she could open it, there was a loud knock. Both the ponies ran downstairs. They opened the door to see Party Favor.
"Hey Starlight," he said. Something about his smile seemed more off than usual. Starlight looked behind him to see six ponies. None that she recognized. "We have visitors."
"Oh," Starlight said. "I'll be out in a second." She closed the door and turned to Trixie. But Trixie was no where in sight. "Trixie?"
"Up here," Trixie said from upstairs. Starlight walked up stairs in confusion.
"What are you doing?"
"I know them."
"What?"
"Those ponies. They're the ones I told you about. You have to get rid of them."
"Wait. Are you sure it was them?"
"Yes. And if you don't hurry they might do something." Starlight gave her an confused look.
"What do you mean?"
"There's no way they're going to let this whole equal thing go. They'll stop you." Starlight could see the desperate in Trixie's eyes. She hated it. She wanted to blast those six ponies into oblivion. But one was a princess. She could use this as an opportunity.
"Maybe I can show them just how great it can be without them?" Trixie shook her head.
"They won't listen."
"Well, I'm going to try. I'm assuming your going to stay up here?" Trixie nodded. "Okay."
Starlight left her house to go greet the six ponies. They all gave her a weird look. Especially the pink one that was glaring. Starlight went through the whole welcoming and introductions thing. Then, when asked, explained the equal cutie marks. Everything seemed fine. That was, until the six asked about Double Diamond.
"Oh, he's a little busy at the moment," Starlight said. It was then that she knew exactly why they were here.
"Busy," the blue one questioned. She got up into Starlight's face. "We know what's been going on here."
"Excuse me?" Double Diamond came out of no where and knocked Starlight over. Everypony turned to see what was going on. Double Diamond stood on the steps of Starlight's house.
"Everypony, listen up," Double Diamond yelled. Everyone gathered around. "Starlight's been lying to you!" He went on with this whole speech on how cutie marks aren't bad. The six ponies backed him up. Starlight got up and looked around, hoping no one was actually listening to him. To Starlight's relief, none of them seemed to be buying it. But then it happened. "Fine. Then let me show you something!"
Out of no where a bunch of water was bumped onto Starlight. She knew exactly what he had just done. Everypony gasped.
"So I was right," Double Diamond whispered. "She's done nothing but lie to us!"
"How could you," somepony yelled.
Things were starting to get out of hand. Starlight was beginning to wish she had listened to Trixie and gotten rid of those six. But it was too late. The ponies were turning against her. They all yelled things. As they got closer, Starlight used a spell to shove them away. She ran into her house and locked the door. Fortunately the yelling soon stopped. She assumed they all went to go get their cutie marks.
Before she went upstairs, she quickly drew on a fake equal sign for a cutie mark. The last thing she wanted was for Trixie to turn on her too. She didn't know what she'd do if that happened. After finishing the cutie mark, she ran upstairs.
"So how'd it go," Trixie asked with a smug look on her face. "I heard the yelling." Starlight grabbed the bag she had been wanting to show Trixie and ran to her bed. She lifted it up. Under it was a secret exit.
"It's a rebellion," Starlight yelled. "And no doubt they'll be back to give me a piece of their mind. We got to go!" Trixie nodded.
The two ran down the stairs. They made it outside and continued to run. When Trixie asked where they were going, Starlight said there was a cave they could escape in up ahead. When they reached it they ran inside. After a while of running in it, they stopped. No one would find them in it.
The two sat, trying to catch their breath. After a bit of silence, Trixie turned to Starlight.
"Hey Starlight," Trixie asked. Starlight looked at her.
"What's so important about that bag? You wanted to show me something in it. And then before we started running, you grabbed it." Starlight smiled.
"Oh, right. I forgot to show you what's in it." Starlight rummaged through it until she pulled out a piece of paper. "This is Double Diamond's bag. He collected some stuff while he was gone. I went through it and found this spell. I'm planning on modifying it and..." Starlight trailed off.
"And what?" Starlight gave her an evil grin.
"Time traveling."
