Trixie trotted around what little room she had in her cage, debating on how she was going to talk herself out of this. If she wasn’t careful, her head might end up on a stick. She shook at the thought. These ponies weren’t the ones she knew from Ponyville, which meant offering friendship then breaking into a song, wasn’t an option.
Talking could be heard approaching Trixie, making her freeze. This was it. This could be her last breathing moments. Three ponies stopped in front of her cage. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash stood beside Zecora, holding spears. Zecora seemed to be analyzing Trixie, who was shaking in fear.
“Zecora,” Trixie started. “You’re a reasonable mare. Can we please talk this out?” Zecora narrowed her eyes, but she didn’t utter a word. “I-I know you see me as leverage, an enemy, maybe even second it command to Starlight. But please believe me when I tell you I’m not!” Zecora raised an eye brow. “Come on! Say something!”
“Idiot,” Rainbow shouted. “She can’t!”
“Huh?”
Rainbow seemed totally enraged by Trixie’s confution. “Don’t act dumb! You know she-” Zecora stopped rainbow, shaking her head. “But she-” Zecora ignored her, taking a step forward.
She made a motion with her hooves. Rainbow and Pinkie stiffened, looking at each other before nodding. Pinkie pulled a bowl out of her mane, filled with greenliquid. Trixie took a step back, unsure of what it could possibly be.
“W-what is that,” Trixie asked.
“If you are telling the truth, this should be no problem for you to put on,” Pinkie said.
“What?”
“Step closer.” Pinkie had her hoof through the bars, the green liquid covering the ground as it dripped off her hoof.
“O-okay.” Trixie did as she was told.
Pinkie covered Trixie’s face with the liquid. Trixie shivered as the cold paint rolled down her face. Once Pinkie finished, the our waited. Within second, the liquid started to glow. Pinkie and Rainbow jumped back, Zecora being the only one yet to move. She smiled, before giving Rainbow the signal to unlock Trixie’s cage.
