Chapter 7 ~ A little too friendly

Trixie awoke to the feeling that something was on her. She slowly opened her eyes to see Starlight's hoof was around her. Trying to push herself away, she fell off the bed.

"Ow," Trixie said, getting up. The sound caused Starlight to wake up as well. Starlight sat up and looked at Trixie.

"What happened," Starlight asked. Trixie didn't answer her and just went straight to the bathroom. She wanted to be away from Starlight. Starlight tried asking again, but there was still no reply.

Trixie looked into the mirror. The image of Starlight's hoof around her wouldn't leave her mind. Her cheeks turned a bit pink. She shook her head. She sighed and walked out of the bathroom. Starlight stood outside the door, a confused expression on her face.

"It was nothing," Trixie said, faking a smile. Starlight continued to stare. "Nightmare. That's all." Starlight nodded.

"Okay then. Anyways, were going to go see Storm Caster." Trixie frowned. She figured that pony probably hated her. "But first, we need to do something about your mane."

"What? Why?"

"You haven't noticed yet? Since were all equal, we all have the same mane styles. You can pick between straight, braided, or a bun." Trixie didn't like the options. She was fine with the mane style she had.

"I prefer what I already have."

"Well, that's not an option. You pick or I will." Trixie sighed.

"Braided... I guess."

"Great!" Starlight braided Trixie's mane and straightened Trixie's tail. "There. Now, come on. Lets go see how Strom Caster is doing." Trixie followed Starlight.

The whole town was gathered around the brainwashing house. Trixie tried smiling like the others. Though Starlight hadn't said anything yet, she could see the annoyed look on her face when ever Trixie would frown for too long.

The door opened and out came Storm Caster. She narrowed her eyes at Trixie. Before Starlight could say anything, Storm Caster started yelling.

"Why did you stop me," she screamed.  "I was going to get help! But instead you helped her!?" She went on screamed until Starlight had enough. The two ponies standing by the door dragged her back in.

Starlight started walked back to her house. She turned to look at Trixie. Trixie felt awful. She was regretting not letting Storm Caster go. Starlight took noticed of the sadness on Trixie's face. She went up to her and hugged her.

"Don't let her words get to you," Starlight said. "You did the right thing. So what if one pony is mad at you? There is a whole village of ponies that are proud of you."

Trixie thought about it. She started to feel like she actually did something right for once. Out of all these ponies, only one pony hated her. She was accepted here.

"I'm proud of you."

"Really," Trixie asked.

"Yes." Starlight stopped hugging Trixie. Trixie smiled. Not a fake one, but a real one.

Starlight also smiled. She felt like she accomplished something. Trixie was actually accepting their ways.
