Lauren
How the fuck was I suppose to explain this? It wouldn't be easy. It's never easy. Even though I know the exact words to do it. The explanation has been engraved into my chain of memories ever since the first time I visited the pediatrics doctor when I was thirteen after I kept asking my mom why I wasn't getting my period.
It was a confusing time for me when all my other girl friends were getting their periods and I had to ask them what the hell that was. Should've seen my mom. She was at a loss of words. Panic spread through out her entire being and she drove me to the doctor's office where everything was put together for me.
Where I learned I would start to experience things others couldn't relate to.
I had no one.
Until my brother stepped in, I thought I had no one. Now that he's gone I'm back at the start.
"Uh," I looked over to the bench to see Camila scrunch up her nose while turning on her side. I felt a smile form on my lips. That was cute.
I slipped on my black compression briefs, black skinny jeans that were torn at the knees, and started to put on my black laced bra. As I brushed my hair over my left shoulder and tried to clip my bra on I heard the voices of my teammates coming closer.
"Huh, you almost got me caught," I whispered to the shorter Latina while finally getting my bra on just right. I ruffled my black hair and pushed it back, "Then again you caught me at my most venerable..."
"Hey yo, Laur!" I looked over to see Dinah and Normani walk in through the doors with everyone in tow behind them. I smiled awkwardly once they both looked down at the bench and noticed Camila. "Holy shit..."
I shook my head while quickly putting on The 1975 shirt I'd gotten from the concert my older brother had taken me for my sixteenth birthday, "No. No, she passed out. She j-just started saying how she felt light headed and before I knew it she just psh." Cringing at the last part I made the sound effect of Camila falling over.
Which didn't happen, I caught her. Thankfully.
"So," started Normani while everyone else was immersed in whispered and stares, "She didn't faint after seeing you naked?"
I felt my face heat up while I kept my expression to an annoyed one, "F-Fuck you guys. No. She didn't."
Scary how on point you were though.
"Just messin' with you, Lauren." Normani laughed while nudging my shoulder. She opened her locker while Dinah opened hers from across ours. I just stood there looking down at Camila.
I wanted to apologize. Yes. Apologize that she had to see me like that. To see me...bare.
"Damnit, Walz." I looked up to see Dinah in nothing but her shorts and sports bra while she kneeled down next to Camila on the bench, "I know you're still adjusting to being out, but Lauren ain't sexy enough for you to be faintin' about."
I rolled my eyes while grabbing for my Hammerhead duffle bag with my last name and number on it, "I think I'll take her home then."
Dinah and Normani's head quickly turned towards me, "What?" They both asked in questioning tones.
I looked at them confused while shrugging, "She fainted on my watch, so I should at least take her home safe. Explain what happened. Does she drive, Dinah?"
Dinah quickly shook her head and stood up quickly, "Nope! She gets rides from Ariana. Here I'll text you her address." The tone in her voice made it sound like she was almost excited for this.
