Lauren
"This sucks," I groaned while trying to hold myself up in a plank position along with Normani who was in front of me, "I'm still sore from that run." I complained and let my body fall once Normani said the three minutes have passed.
I rolled over to my back on the field's grass as my best friend laughed at my discomfort, "I can't believe you got chased. By fangirls. That shit only happens in movies." Tilting my head back I saw Normani sitting cross legged while she looked over me, "At least you made it to class."
I rolled my eyes while bringing my legs up and then swinging them forward to get myself standing before turning to help her up, "I could've gone without having Austin and Shawn chanting "Superstar" every time I passed them in the hall."
Once I got Normani up and she patted down her shorts for grass, she just shook her head, "Shawn was just congratulating you. Like he did in Pre-Cal. He even said he liked the song and can't wait for more."
"He's still a douche in my book," I shrugged while stretching out my arms before we started on our burpees, "He hangs out with Austin? Automatic douche."
"He was the one who told Camila that maybe you should be taken home at Cara's party." Normani laughed while we stood side by side with a good space between us, "Three sets of Fifteen?"
"Wasn't it twenty?"
"Fuck," this time she groaned while tightening her ponytail, "Yeah. It was twenty. Okay...one...two...three."
We started running in place while I held my hands out to make sure my knees hit the palms, "And I don't care if Shawn tried helping."
"He's not so bad."
"Their table played my song full blast from a Beats Pill and started trying to make fun of the choreo' Sean made-who by the way I want you to meet since your the dancer between us. You'd like him."
"Trying to set me up?" She huffed while grinning, "Down." We both dropped to do a push up before jumping back up to start running in place again.
"What? Of course not," I laughed until we went down again then right back up, "You're obviously head over heels over Dinah." The next time we went down was right after I said that and all I saw was Normani let herself fall limp on the ground, I couldn't help myself and laugh thinking she got embarrassed, "Mani! Don't be so dramatic."
"I was rejected! I'm allowed to be dramatic!" Normani said straight into the ground and I'm glad she had her head resting on her arm because I wouldn't want her spitting up anything.
Having her words replay in my head I realized what she said and knelt down next to her, "What? You were rejected by Dinah?"
Normani turned over on her side while I saw she had her gaze set behind me, so I turned only to see Dinah walking out of the locker room having a very animated conversation with Zendaya. Not once did she look over here. I looked back to see Normani was back to sulking and hiding her face, "Mani...I'm sorry."
"You should be!" She pushed herself up and sat herself back in her knees and I could see her eyes were a bit watery, I couldn't bare to see her like this, but I was also a little surprised from hearing her response. "You've got Mila and y'all being cute and she's gonna say yes to you and shit while I'm over here bae-less."
"What is Kordei crying about," I turned to my side to see Ariana now standing there with a concerned looking Camila too, "Jeez, I don't think I've ever seen her with that expression before."
"Normani showing her soft side is new," I nodded while waving Camila over as I stood up and tugged us a little bit over to the side, "Did you know Dinah rejected Normani?"
